Ours is in a hall so we've had to shop around for caterers. The best one we've had so far is £20 per head for serving our drinks (they are supplying nibbles) then a hot buffet, dessert, and then nibbles for the evening. It includes crockery, etc. I thought that was pretty good compared with some quotes we've had.

£30 a head for a 3 meat roast dinner and a tiered cheese cake served with port. We didn't want a starter and the individual cakes will be served as a sweet if needed.

We're £80pp for canapés and champagne, 3 course meal with more champers and 2 glasses of wine, tea coffee and Scottish tablet & shortbread and evening rolls or whatever option we choose, then we pay extra £10 for each evening guest to have a drink & their choice of food and wedding cake. Not sure how much it is all broke down here either.

    £85 ....

but that includes 4 courses, wine on the table and toasting wine, reception drinks, evening food. Oddly this turned out cheaper than other places in the long run. Mainly because I haggled them to £5 a head for the evening guests.

Are people quoting just the meal or package price?? everyone seems to have amazing deals .... mines £50 a head for room hire, drinks and canapes and evening food .... no sit down meal but substantial evening food .... everywhere I looked had packages with sitdown meal from £60 to £100+ per person ....wondering if I'm being shafted? ?!!

These all seem bargainous! Ours was £80 a head as the cheapest price and we negotiated them down to about £60 I think.

We have a package which includes 60 people for the wedding breakfast so we only have to pay for any extras above that. It's £30 for 3 courses plus £10.50 for arrival drinks, a glass of wine with the meal and bubbly for the toast.

The room cost £100, we're not having wine on the table, the reception drinks are £300 which will be jugs of Pimms and Elderflower cordial and then the food at £30 a head which includes 2 bottles of port and the tower(cake) of cheese. Looking at the prices that others have paid I'm thinking that ours is a bargain for sure!

Ours is £64ish for adults (includes canapes, starter, choice of main, desserts and drinks up to end of meal) and £19ish for children.

This is the prize just for catering, though. Venue and everything else were separate.

Hope it helps to kill the curiosity ?

Let us know how much yours came to!

    different strokes for different folks.

even thou my £85 is pricy, children go free, no venue hire charge, evening was cheap for additional guest at £5/head. free disco, free bridal suite. all drinks included etc etc.

i had quite the spreadsheet to break down costs to figure which was actually better value for money Smiley laugh

In total our catering is £1200 for approximately 50 people.

That includes starter, main and evening buffet. Desserts will be on a cake table.

We're fortunate as we can do and change anything though, our caterer is the BiL ? (he's a chef)

This, but only for the wedding breakfast. Canapes are another £4 pp and evening food £6. Venue hire charge on top. Probably far too much to spend but we were in a rush to get things booked up and weren't thinking straight.
