Just out of interest....

Weather Girl, 22 July, 2009 at 14:20 Posted on Planning 0 16

...what are you all wearing/what did you wear on the wedding morning whilst getting ready?

I was thinking I might get myself a nice new dressing gown/robe and some pj's or loungewear. I have been contemplating about maybe one of the "bride" dressing gowns but I'm obviously only going to wear it once!

It may sound like a bit of a random question but I'm thinking that if the photographer is going to take some photos of me getting my make up done, in the room, etc I may need to look half presentable lol.

I'll be wearing a black vest top, cropped jeans or trousers and flip flops I think. I was thinking about this last night actually.

I'm thinking black top so it doesn't get dirty or show the sweat!! I won't be wearing a bra though in case I get strap marks on my shoulders.

New dressing gown from Primark, so its fresh white as my current one is not as bright anymore. £12...bargain and might put Bride on the back!

Was thinking about this last night too. I saw a basic white zip up hooded top from M&S and was searching on ebay for iron on transfers... found one which said "It's all about me", which I thought would be apt and tongue in cheek.... was slightly worried as some of these can look a little chavtastic but what the hell, it's the only time you'll get to wear it! I'll be wearing a little vest top underneath.... did see some flowerirl transfers too and think my nieces would love this!

A tracksuit from Next with a zip up top. That way I didn't have to drag anything up over my head and ruin make up / hair.

I was just about to add the 'no pull over head' tops

zips and buttons are your friends...you don't want to spoil your hair and make up.

Dressing gowns are ok...as long as they stay tied up!!

I have diamonte iron on things for 'bride' and 'flower girl' for my nieces. Nearer the time i shall get some vest tops to put them onto. Strappy vest for me and normal ones for them. Not as though they will need to worry about ruining their make up (? at the thought. Although I bet the then 7 year old will insist on some mascara; apparently these days she just can't go to a party without mascara ?. She's 6 going on 16 at the moment).

Although I may invest in some nice jammies to wear. In my sisters DVD I'm wearing some old 'little miss naughty' PJ's as I wasn't aware the videographer would be turning up so early and I was half way through having my hair done when he turned up. So not a good look!

Good point about the dressing gowns staying tied up, Tahdah. The one I have at home has a habit of coming undone so might be best if I opt for a zip up hoodie or something!

RaeF, do you mind me asking where your iron on 'bride" diamnote came from?

The good old bay of e!

Just type in 'bride transfer' into the search box and it'll bring up loads. Think it was a couple of pound, not too expensive.

I was thinking vest top and jeans. No bra.

Just a Tesco £2 vest top so it can be cut off to save messing up my hair.

I wore jeans and my pj zipper top to the hairdressers! It was the only thing I had with a zip so off I went out in my pink pj's!

    You'll see proof here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_picBj_LbU

I didn't see the point in buying something specifically just for a couple of hours.

Ugg boots, flomper pants and a vest stop and no bra (so I wouldn't have strap marks)

    sexy I thought! 😆
