Just wondering....

haribobear, 4 September, 2014 at 15:27 Posted on Planning 0 17

....what everybody is most looking forward to about their wedding? Somebody asked me at work the other day and I really had to stop and think about it because I'm looking forward to so much- wearing my dress, accepting my lovely wedding ring, wearing my ridiculously-priced but oh-so-special shoes, seeing my nieces as bridesmaid, seeing hubby-to-be (hopefully) swoon when he sees me for the first time on our wedding day, I could go on.....

But ultimately I'm looking forward to becoming an 'other half' and just being married to the one person who gets me like nobody else and accepts me for who I am- because ultimately that's what it's all about isn't it? Not being 'a bride' ?

It's possibly too early to say at the moment, still in the midst of early planning! But things are popping up in my mind; when i heard my walk down the aisle music i had goosebumps and can totally picture walking towards him. It'll sound silly, but before when focusing on walking down the aisle i was just thinking about how i'd feel too emotional 'leaving' my dad, but that song suddenly makes me realise who i'm walking towards. And of course i'm not leaving my dad (but im sure i'll blub uncontrollably anyway).

And i think getting in the car to drive to our venue after the ceremony could be a highlight as well, just 30 mins to ourselves to shriek.

    Nice question!

Ah yes I forgot about the music! Good one! That's so lovely about your Dad and walking towards the person who signifies the next chapter in you life ❤️

Everything that you've said! I can't wait to get ready with my friends and family, my dad see me for the first time and walk down the aisle with my little girl towards her daddy and big brother. I'm über excited about my ring too. X

To be honest I'm at the stage where most aspects of the planning are just making me feel tired and skint. I think I'm most looking forward to getting back to our hotel room, being alone together and processing that we're actually married. Sorry, that makes me sound like a right grinch.

There are lots of things to be honest, but the best thing I am looking forwards to is after we are married and probably something that I can't even explain in words really as I think if I try it'll sound like "looking for securtity" but it's not that simple. It's something like the feeling of knowing that you've got someone who'll always have your back, and whose you'll have in return. Like you don't have to fight the world's battles on your own anymore. If that makes any kind of sense Smiley smile x

At the moment I'm more nervous than excited, but I think I am probably most looking forward to the later on bit when everyone's a bit more relaxed. I don't really like being centre of attention.

I'm absolutely shattered with all the planning, but i'm still excited about so many things. All my family gathering to celebrate with us, especially my grandparents. My mum crying because I look beautiful, my dad giving me a kiss and me knowing that he loves me, and loves my OH, my OH seeing me in my beautiful dress, my gorgeous best friends in their dresses, particularly my tom boy bm who looks stunning in her dress. But the biggest thing is walking down the aisle towards my OH, and then promising that we will love and stand by each other forever. Knowing that from then on we truly are partners in crime, one half of a whole, and that he loves me beyond anything else

I'm most looking forward to walking down the aisle and seeing his reaction plus the family being in one place together. I don't get to see my mum very often as she moved to the Isle of Wight recently and so getting to spend quality time with her beforehand is a major thing for me. She is making the cake and wants to help prep the venue the day before etc.

I know this sounds shallow but I think I have to say it'll be wearing my dress! Haha!

I cannot wait to be mrs A, especially now when there is only 17 days to go!! But I'm also looking forward to getting rid of the stress of planning and the feeling that something is going to go terribly wrong.

Igbmn I feel the same!! oh said to me the other day that I should be excited now and nervous on the day (not sure why!) but I'm so nervous, I tend to worry about people enjoying themselves etc though so I think it's mostly that, plus the fact I haven't plucked up the courage to tell my hairdresser I'm having a veil, followed by my sister really going on about me having a mua, which has made me really paranoid about doing my own make-up!!! x

Hard to pickt to be honest! It's between my fella seeing me in my dress, seeing my family together, our first dance, giving each other our rings, calling him my hubby for the first time......so many other things. I'm basically at the stage where I'm bouncing about the wedding!

Getting ready in the morning with my mum and all the bridesmaids...wearing my dress...walking down the aisle...seeing my handsome man at the end...spending the day with all of our loved ones and friends. I can't wait ?
