Hello!

Just to let you all know I got a response from the club yesterday - very dissapointing! They don't sign cards etc anymore for any occasion, and just sent me a pre printd signed certificate and a pack full of their merchandise etc! Oh well, at least I tried! Will still give him the Certificate.

Not sure if anyone else has had any luck?

I think this is a great idea, h2b is a big st helens rugby fan. I want to do the same for him, when we get closer to the day. How long have you sent it before the wedding?

    Hiya,

Yeah, not sure if they'll do it but can but try!

I plan to send it today hopefully, which is 7.5 months before the big day. I was advised to send it well in advance.

Good luck with yours! Feel free to use bits from mine if you want to.

    S xx

    Morning,

I did the same and Liverpool sent me this reply:

Unfortunately we are unable to send cards or certificates for birthdays, weddings etc with autographs on. We are inundated with requests for signatures and therefore we give priority to charities for fundraising purposes.

However, we are happy to send out certificates and you have 2 options.

    Option 1

We can send you an un-personalised A4 certificate with the players’ signatures printed on. This contains a standard message, your choice of:-
    Happy Birthday
    Congratulations on Your Wedding Day
    Best Wishes
    Wishing You A Speedy Recovery
    Good Luck
    You’ll Never Walk Alone
This is free of charge and if you would like one I just need to know your choice of certificate and your postal address.

    Option 2

For a personalised message we offer a Gift Pack for £15.00 (this includes postage and packing, though there is a 50p charge if you wish to pay by card).
You have a choice of 3 gift items:-
A framed photograph of your favourite player and keyring to match
An LFC football with the players autographs printed on (this is posted flat and will need to be inflated on receipt)
A stainless steel Parker pen etched with the club crest
Along with this you get a personalised certificate with the recipient’s name on and the message of your choice.
If you would like this I need your postal address and I will send you an order form

I think I'll get him one- but it will be printed, and not quite the same is it?

    Honda F1 racing team said:

Unfortunately, we now receive so many requests similar to yours that we are simply not able to fulfil them all.

We would however like to thank you for your interest and continued support of the Honda Racing F1 Team and wish you a long and happy marriage.

    Kind regards

And Top Gear haven't bothered replying so far.

It's a bit demoralising really, I sent all these emails out expecting to make his day and so far all I can get for him is printed signatures.

I do think Liverpool have got it right prioritising charities and fundraising, and at least they have something.

Good luck with it, I hope maybe writing them an actual letter might be different - let me know how you get on.

I wrote to Man U and they sent a signed certificate from Alex Ferguson. H was very impressed! In case anyone's interested you need to write to the training ground address (carrington Rd)

I did something similar for OH's 21st. I sent a letter to Man U's Carrington training ground and 2 weeks later I received a card signed by the first team and Sir Alex and a football with printed signatures on.
