Depends on what you see as a resaonable price. Ive seen brides on here who think £300 on a photographer is a lot and others who spend £6000 and ask if its enough.

    Hiya

We have about £600 to spend. Not sure whether that will be enough to get a decent videographer but due to way things are financially we just cant afford any more than that x

£600 will normally get you a reportage style shoot. Pretty much turn up, film and then put it straight onto a DVD. Very similar to what a family member will produce. Its important to find somone with a style that you like, the last thing you want is to pay somone because you think you should have one and then find you never watch it. It really is throwing your money away if you do that.

With a budget like that you would do well to get a good HD camera and a tripod for a couple of quid and ask a friend or relative to film it. Somone who may have done a bit before. Tell them to use the tripod as much as possible and leave the zoom button well alone. All too often people use it like a still camera and zoom in to capture the 1 second shot and zoom out again, video is different.

You will then have a product which is not much different from the cheap videographers, will be a bit more personal and you have a video camera at the end of it.

For a decent videographer with around 50+ hours of post production editing time your looking at £1,000+ (the time you get them on the day is a fraction of what is done after the day).

Have a hunt around on www.visualbride.co.uk and you may find some with a special offer.

    I can recommend two:

Alan McCormick in Chatham - www.amcvideo.co.uk

    Bill Longley - Deal - www.wedding-videos-kent.co.uk
