Kids party bags

Mrs Mack, 19 April, 2012 at 11:14 Posted on Planning 0 17

Following on from a previous similar post, is anyone having little activity packs to keep the kids occupied during the meal, speeches etc?

The kids at my FSILs wedding were running about mental, and they are at ours too!!! Althought only three of them, the rest are relatively well behaved. I am going to make them a little party bag up. So far I have 4/5 colouring pictures, a wee pack of pencils and a jigsaw. Ill put some sweets in too.

Any other ideas? - nothing that can be thrown, makes noise or can affect my dress in any way shape or form i.e. bubbles are out cos I'll not be amused when they start blowing them at me, which they will haha x

I have a dot to dot in some of them already, some are too young, so they have an extra colouring picture. Hoping this might be enough? x

It so depends on the kids but beads to make little braclets for girls. Cars they can put together for the boys might keep them busy. If you can find the brain space a treasure hunt would be amazing!

We're having a disposable camera scavenger hunt - give the kids a disposable camera each and a list of things to tick off as they take pictures of them... They have fun and we should get some interesting pictures out of it!

    Hi Smiley smile

We only have 2 children at our, my OH nieces who are 6 and 2 and I am filling a bucket up with bits and pieces like crayons, pictures, sticker books, bubbles, glow stick a bouncy ball and a little kite as we have an outside area they are run around in.

If you've got some young ones I'd suggest something that they can 'play' with rather than something to do. Both my sons (22 months and 6 years) would be kept entertained for ages with a toy car or helicopter, especially if it's got moving parts (but avoid things with sound!).

Just make sure the sweets you put in dont have lots of e numbers otherwise they be bouncing off the walls and your efforts will be counter productive ?
