Lace!!

Sammyj74, 27 June, 2013 at 13:56 Posted on Planning 0 7

Hi Ladies,

I am collecting jars which I plan to wrap lace around and ribbons, and then put a tealight in for the tables and the outside courtyard bit of our reception room. Has anyone else done this and where did you get your lace from? I don't want to spend a fortune so any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Sam xx

Ebay will be your best shot. Haberdashery shops are also pretty cheap for trimmings like lace.

Ebay is your best bet, especially for bulk. Much cheaper than price per m. in shops.

Also use double sided tape to stick it to the jars - much quicker and less mess than glue!

Lace is something you really need to see and touch to know what you're getting, so I wouldn't go with online retailers. Sewing shops like singer will have lace ribbon, also John Lewis haberdashery department has lots, and also hobbycraft!

I got mine from Ebay, it was about £7 for 10m. This was my first attempt - hence the wonky-ness. (sorry big picture)
