I am a half Lancashire Bride (yes I just made that term up!) originally from Chorley (insert Peter Kay jokes here) but now live in Cheshire.

We are getting married at Rivington Church but having our reception back in Cheshire- trying to please family in both counties!

Your The Inn at Whitewell looks gorgeous, but a bit further north than areas I know personally.

We are also getting married next August... We booked it today, at the Spread Eagle in Sawley.. not far from yours!

I'm from Wigan but am getting married in chorley at Shaw Hill xx

I have had a few lovely meals at Shaw Hill- will have to have a google on the others!

Planning is going well, for me in 3 months time it will all be over! eek!

I have got a few odds and ends to tie up, next on the list is to sort out my flowers for church and my bouquet and BM/Flower girls flowers too - most of the 'big stuff' is done.

I am so happy to be getting married at Rivington Church, I will be the 4th generation from my ma's family to get married there!

That's a coincidence, I'm from Blackburn but I live in Preston and I've been over in Leeds this weekend visiting my CBM. We did a little impormptu trying on of bridesmaid dresses. I'll share this with you as it made me chuckle. I'm the one on the right

Woo to Chorley people.

I'm originally from Liverpool, but lived in preston for 4 years (3 as a student) and now settled in Chorley. i love it here!

Planning is going good for me, venues booked, wedding dress ordered, decor sorted, and bridesmaids dresses bought. Even got the car sorted, hair and makeup booked!

looking at honeymoons at the moment.. Its proving difficult!

Who is everyone having for their hair and makeup? I've been toying with the idea if doing my own but I don't know if it'd stressme out on the day. Plus I'm hoping for a 'muted' fifties look and I've not found anywhere in Lancs that specialises in vintage hair and make up. Closest I've found is Manchester but it costs a bomb!

The Inn at Whitewell is such a gorgeous place! You can't beat Lancashire for a lovely old pub or inn and some beautiful countryside ?

I'm from Burnley, living in Manchester but getting married at The Alma Inn in Colne next April.

I am a Lancashire bride as well, although I am actually getting married in Knutsford in Cheshire. I live just outside Blackpool in Ansdell (near Lytham!). My make up artist and cake lady though are both coming from the Manchester area and our band are based in Lancashire as well, so everything is still sort of local!

Where in Knutsford? it is one of my favourite places Our reception is at The Windmill Inn, Tabley.

The Belle Epoque is wonderful - a very good family friend married there and an lovely hitcher also

Oo, which Hitcher? It is I love it, and I love Knutsford, keep finding excuses to go back and visit!

Ah yes Footlong has already been lots of help, answered all my questions before we booked it for our venue, and gave me the name of a great executive taxi firm which we have booked! x

We are venue twins! We are getting married at the Inn at Whitewell in December this year. Isn't it a beautiful venue? We have fallen in love with it! We are having a hunter green and ivory kinda wedding, lots of soft candle light etc! How is your planning going? Are you official with The Inn yet or still deciding on it?

Hi venue twin! No it's official, I've fallen in love with the place. We're having a summer wedding next August, also green but we're going for sage with multicoloured wildflowers in the bouquets (I think!)
