Landy Bridal

PhoenixAngelic, 3 February, 2011 at 13:21 Posted on Planning 0 7

I'm sure this has been done before but has anyone any experience of buying from Landy? It seems like it might be my only opportunity to get 'the one' (the real one is sooooooooo expensive) and I might be able to get the BM dresses from them as well.

Only concern is that the colour may not be right (the original is called champagne but is actually a cream rather than ivory or anything darker). Has anyone asked for fabric samples or similar?

Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I got my dress from Landy, and I love it. The colour of the original dress was cream, but they only had Ivory lace so I got it in Ivory and it's very close.

I ordered fabric samples, and would definitely advise you to do this because they are quite different to how they look in the photos they send you.

    Good luck Smiley smile

I'm considering Landy too but the dress I wanted was not in their ebay site. So I will need to send a picture to them. This makes me so skeptical as I read that some brides who order from their website got a disasterous dress

My dress wasn't on ebay either, but when I sent them pics and they agreed to make it I asked them to list it on Ebay for me, for the reason you mentioned above, and it was listed on Ebay within 10 mins of my request!

They did charge you extra for that? They usually charge 10% more because to recover the ebay charges. They quoted me $280 for the dress but when I was browsing their website, it was £380!

Btw, how much import tax did you pay?

They didn't charge me anything extra no, just the same price they quoted me before I mentioned Ebay. The website does seem more expensive than Ebay, not sure why that is?

Paid £8 odd in tax, only got the letter through about that this week (dress came about 3 weeks ago).

Saw your dress flash! Your's is quite a simple dress.

I'm kinda decided to go with Jasminebridal tho. They are more expensive than Landy but I get to see their work. And they came with a new promo, no payment til I see the dress!
