Las Vegas theme

LauraJaneRush, 13 August, 2010 at 22:48 Posted on Planning 0 6

We have finally decided on a theme for our reception-as we got engaged in Vegas we are going to have a casino and table names/favours all linked.

Does anyone have any experience or ideas that could help me as Im not the most creative person!

Thanks xxx

You could have SO much fun with this kind of theme. I'd be mega impressed walking into a venue, expecting the usual centrepieces and cake table and being met with a room resembling a casino.. Could look awesome!

Vistaprint.co.uk has some lovely Vegas themed stationery - Save the dates, Invitations, Thank you notes etc.

I like these, wouldn't have to be used as food picks, could be made into name cards on tables or anything -

My best friend got married in Vegas and then had the reception back home, she had the traditional sugared almonds as favours but in the bottom of each bag was a casino chip.

    Hi

Don't forget the music! There are companies out there (and I'm not mentioning any because I don't want to be accused of advertising!) who can provide sets of Ratpack style swing music for a true Vegas feel. We did a wedding with a few casino tables last year and it was great fun for everyone there. We presented a prize to the best gambler with the most 'fun' money and it created a great atmosphere. They didn't go all the way with the Vegas theme (the stuff others have posted looks great) so your big day could be something really unique!

For extra glamour, you could also hire in some showgirls too. They could dance alongside a singer, serve drinks or just mingle with your guests for photographs. Try www.thevegasshowgirls.co.uk

    Good luck!

    James.
