Las Vegas themed reception????

Cheeky_pie, 28 September, 2010 at 12:56 Posted on Planning 0 1

Hey all!!!

We had been thinking about a beach themed reception. We have now decided to maybe go for a vegas theme to tie in with our honeymoon there. Our only worry is that this may come across as tacky... ☹️ My ideas would be for the tables to be named after vegas hotels but no idea about centrepieces. When we were going to do a beach theme we had looked at tall martini glasses with sand and shells in them for centres but not sure what to have now!!!

You could go down thw showgirl route and have big feather centrepieces or little roulette wheels, 'welcome to fabulous las vegas' sign place card holders (my friend actually had these at her wedding), chocolate casino chips as favours. I'm sure if you google it you'll come up with lots of ideas. You can also hire casino tables for entertainment for your guests.

I went to a James Bond/Vegas themed wedding once and, I'm afraid, I thought it was rubbish. To be honest, it wasn't just to do with the theme, more a combination of factors but if I knew I was going to a 'themed' wedding again, I'd be really apprehensive.
