Last minute hen do

LeedsBride, 14 September, 2012 at 13:47 Posted on Planning 0 8

Well with 2 weeks to go I still haven't had a hen do. I never wanted to do anything over the top, just maybe an activity and a nice meal out, but alas noone (including me) has got round to organising anything. With the activity days, are these something that you need to book way in advance? or do you think I could sort something out for next weekend. If not I might just go for a meal.

I don't have many friends at all as it is, and now with having to organise something myself I'm feeling a bit bummed out ☹️

Oh love. Are the people you want to have around available? You could see if there are any last minute deals for activity stuff on somewhere like lastminute.com. I know for a lot of things around here, you can pretty much turn up (Go Ape, karting, climbing). I'm sure you'll be able to find somewhere for a meal too, though if not, why not have a BBQ or go to a park and have a picnic (combine with road trip)?

I was planning on a Big Fat Gypsy Wedding themed night out but due to children & work commitments we couldn't gt round to arranging it.

Last weekend my mum mentioned my lack of a hen night and then arranged an Ann Summers party for this Sunday afternoon! My mum is usually very straight so this is quite out of the blue but should be a giggle!

Worst case scenario can you do a spa session for whoever is available? Or go bowling? Or a meal?

Thanks for the replies ladies. I'm now looking at maybe a day at Xscape castleford, with my mum, aunts and bridesmaid. They have a ski slope there and some restaurants, and although its not the most exciting thing to do, it might be fun to go sledging then for a nice meal.

Sounds really good. Now, get yourself a Bride to Be t-shirt, or a fun tiara/veil if you like that sort of thing, and wear them sledging. Get into the fun spirit and you'll have a great time!

Thank you ? it sounds like there might be just 2 of us (or maybe 3) actually doing the sledging. My mum cant to do it as she had a heart attack earlier this year, and another friend who I used to work with has had a knee operation, and another auntie who can't come at all coz she has a house warming party to go to.

I feel like im clutching at straws just to try to get a few people together to do something fun, maybe I should just go on my own ☹️

I think only have realy close friends and family are much better than hundreds of people you know but dont always talk to or even see!

I how about looking at a cream tea? or even a spa day most spas allow you to use their facilities (sorry about spelling) for the day even if you have their cheepest package. if your after something with a bit more activity then how about poledancing class? It's lots of fun for everyone taking part and thoughs who cant for medial reasons can still come a long to watch, then maybe a meal/ night out after?

You deffo have to get a t-shirt or bride to be vail!

What ever you choose to do will be fab and you will have so much fun, remember the small few who will be going are the ones that love you the most! xxx?
