Lawn games HELP!

Kimblebee, 11 September, 2013 at 14:59 Posted on Planning 0 7

So I'm thinking of going down the lawn games route as some form of entertainment between the wedding breakfast and the evening.

I want some Giant games, like connect four, jenga etc. which will be kept in the outdoor area we have attached to the room.

I've had a look on Ebay but none of them are that 'giant'.

Does anyone know any good companies that do these things at a reasonable price? I haven't got much of a budget left and so these will just be an extra bonus I don't want to spend loads of money on.

I'm getting married in Lancaster, so anywhere that supplies Lancashire really!

I bought limbo and boules cheaply. I hired the others but they weren't super huge

These people were cheaper than many, back when I was looking.

Thank you for the link - and thanks OP too! - I was loving the idea of lawn games but didn't know where to start. Pinning gardenxtras.com for future use Smiley smile

I was looking for giant connect4, found it on amazon biggest was 1.2mx1.2m for about £150. I believe you can hire them and that might be cheaper.

I know I've seen large garden games pop up on GroupOn and Wowcher quite often, might be worth keeping an eye out at places like that.

I got mine with a group on voucher earlier in the year. Think they're the same price here though...

I've seen on Pinterest, and if I had the time I would've made my own, a giant game of scrabble. Well, they had chalked a board on the ground, but you don't need one really, you could just do the words on the lawn and make the tiles out of card or wood if you know someone handy

For our wedding this year, we had lawn games. Agreed bout games on ebay, when we were looking ‘giant’ seems very misleading. Managed to get things such as croquet, badminton, bowls, ring toss and mini golf reasonably cheap. Even made giant jenga myself, was thinking of doing twister by using temp spray paint on the grass-however didn't do that as could of got messy. Some great tutorials out there if you have the time, even seen a how to make a giant Kerplunk!
