Leftover roast beef

HatTrick, 8 September, 2013 at 17:52 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 15

I have a rather large piece of beef left over from today's dinner - what can I do with it?

The dog has his eyes on it. Just sandwiches?

Slice or shred it into the slow cooker with onions, veg, stock and/or a glug of red wine for a quick stew to have with bread or potatoes?

    Stir fry?

You can do beef fajitas too.

Stovies! diced potatoes, sliced onion, gravy and the beef all thrown in a pot until it all goes soft. Mmmmmmmm.

I often read Otter posts with a cup of tea, I may have to rethink this as once again, I've just snorted tea up my nose. Why is the word "cocker" funny?

Mmmmm I might slow cook it with a lovely gravy and have it on a baguette! Yummers.

Stir fry with green pepper, spring onion, garlic, chicken stock and soy sauce then serve with rice.

I don't like stir fry, probably something to do with my aversion to vegetables ? Might do one for H though, we have a huge piece left.

I'd personally just have roast dinner with it again the next night!

Stovies is a great suggestion, amazing, if you like potato and onion?

Yes ATB I can stretch to potatoes and onion. Ha! Going to have to use it for lunch as I have a friend Royce for takeaway night. Will it be ok to save for tomorrow or will it go tough?

If you cook it slowly with potatoes and onion and gravy it won't go tough and you could save it for tomorrow. Have a sandwitch with it for you lunch though before!
