Keli, that dress is stunning. Exactly the style I wanted before we decided to do it all abroad. You'll look like a princess?

So do I, that's the problem but it's totally a no-go. If for no other reason than I've already paid for mine ?

I'm so wobbly about mine though. I thought about trying the lacey dress on so I could get it out of my head, but I daren't in case I love it more than the one I bought!

Kooks Thankyou, I finally managed to find all the factors I wanted; a sweetheart neck, fitted and floaty, and the train is stunning IMO and although you can't tell very well in the photo if you lift the top layer underneath revals a gorgeous fishtail with even more lace. I am totally besotted with a dress - is that sad? yours is beautiful and in the light gold sounds divine. Happy days

Mynnie, No3 is gorgeous but don't wobble your final choice is also lovely I am sure you will look stunning.

Keli - I honestly wish I could. I think that half my problem is that there's no model picture of the dress in the colour I've bought it in. The picture on the Maggie site is bad to start with, but the model's wearing the dress in Silver and it's awful IMO.

The only pictures that I can find of it in ivory are all of real life brides - the one I posted and a couple of blurry ones - and I think that's part of the reason I'm struggling. There isn't a picture of the dress that makes me go 'Wow!' it's all pictures of the people *in* the dress IYSWIM. Perhaps I should get Maggie to commission a new photo shoot of a, now old, collection especially for meeeeeee!?

You should contact MS they may well have one. Don't wobble honestly, it's THE dress and you feel WOW in it, don't worry about the photo.

Think I might take the kill or cure approach and take the MIL to the shop to take photos of ME in it. They surely can't object now I've ordered and paid the deposit on it. Alternatively, maybe I should just get over myself and stop obsessing!??

Don't worry, I couldn't deny either myself or Hitched a good ol' flash ?

Now, who else is going to post pictures of their dress progress? (Just so I can wobble some more you understand ? ? )

Well - I looove the Ronald Joyce, so much, but it was too big for me to wear. A fair few other hitchers have this dress and find it fine - but I struggled, which is why I didn't go for it.

The one I have it Phil Collins, 9303. I totally adore it! And it was less than half price of the Ronald Joyce!

I will flash the other pics I have of mine as on the model one you really can't see the detail - its such a lovely shape!

This is a great thread Amythest76.

I haven't tried any dresses on yet but am LOVING the pictures of the floatier and flowing style dresses... Just really scared that this style won't suit me and I'll have no idea what to do then!!

Also, has anyone found that ivory is unflattering for their skin type as I'm wondering if this will be the case for me?

After my first outing to try on dresses I was all set to buy this in diamond white with a light blue/lilac sash

But I had an appointment at another shop the next day so waited and ended up ordering this

I thought about the other dress a lot and was very wobbly about whether I'd made the right decision. But I picked mine up last week and I think I look pretty happy ?

Hi Clare247, yes i found that ivory is not good for my skin type at all! I look slightly jaundice and a bit ill in ivory! I never thought I could pull white off but it gave me a better glow and suited me much better! Ive tried a few different colours...like ivory, oyster even platinum...but white was the best by far! (even though I feel a tad hypocritical in white what with having had 3 kids!)

Minnie you are giving me the wobbles with that lacy loveliness!

    Here's what I almost got

and heres what I'm about to order

But not with the bow, I'm ordering a different sash. Not too different I guess!

What is this last dress - the one you settled on? I think it might be one I tried on the other day! It's on my list of faves!
