For the floor or the walls? Our downstairs loo has the black shiny floor tiles. They are the bane of my life! The only thing that makes them look shiny is windowlene and then for no one to wash their hands and sprinkle water (or worse) on the floor because it just leaves dusty water marks. We were going to have them in the family bathroom too but are so glad we went for textured tiles instead - so much easier to keep nice.

For the walls I think they would be find. We have bright white tiles in our kitchen, the rectangle ones that are arranged like brickwork. They stay clean and are really easy to wipe down if sauce or cake mix gets flung onto them.

Sorry I should have said they were for the floor, I love that they make the floor look clean but with two kids, a black dog and a cat I worry about the upkeep.

I have these in my kitchen and I love them! They don't take much work to keep clean but then I do a few quick mops during the day because of the dog...

They look lovely when they are cleaned properly. I wouldn't have laminate after we had to rip it all up after a washing machine leak.
