I'm keen on buying from this site too, I know a couple of hitchers have been very happy with their purchases.

Lianeywhu got hers from LIB, and so did someone else. Lainey thought hers were fab, the other person had a slight problem but they seemed to rectify the situation quickly and resent her a new dress (letting her keep the original one).

I got my wedding dress from Landy Bridal and they were fab ?

I did. The dresses were fab, but not as cheap as you would think. The delivery charge was quite high, more than the younger girls dresses!

I ordered mine in December and they were delivered quickly, I think about 3 weeks. But last week (so 2 months later) I had an invoice from DHL who had delivered them for £60 import tax as they ahdnt declared the item as a 'gift' to dodge the tax.

I think (including delivery and tax) I paid around £110 for the adult BM dress, and £80 for the younger BM dresses (5 in total) so not quite as cheap as th website suggests. I think the basic price of the younger BM dresses were £32.

Having said that, the dresses are lovely, you can choose whatever colour you want and customise how you want. I had mine made to measure, and they were delivered very quickly. I didnt have time to order them from a bridal shop.

Just be prepared to pay more than the basic price that the website quotes.

ETA: I got my dress from yourbridalwear.com and that is lovely, and cost under £200 in total. I would defintiely recommend them.

I bought two wedding dresses from light in the box and they were both brilliant. I would definitely order from them again if they had the style I wanted.

I made a thread a while ago with photo's of one of the dresses I got from there.

I'm probably getting my bridesmaids dresses from Light in the Box. I haven’t ordered dresses from there yet, but a friend at work ordered a dress last year and said how pleased she was with the quality, very well made apparently!!

Last Wednesday I ordered the material swatch set and it arrived this morning, and I’m REALLY pleased with it, the materials feel lovely and there is a lovely selection of colours. My friend at work gets married early next year so we halved the cost of the set.

I’m looking at either of these in Burgundy
1st one is taffeta ($89.99), with lace up back, second is satin ($99.99) with zip back

    Hi

I don't know if its too late for you, but i've ordered both my bridesmaid and my dress from lightinthebox and had no problems whatsoever from them!

Like you i was a bit wary to start with so i decided to order a single bridesmaid dress to start with, i selected custom measurements and paid the extra £10 for this service, which is clearly well worth it. It arrived 4 weeks later and fit like a glove! the fabric was lovely, a gorgeous rich taffeta. Well made and a great fit. So then i was convinced and went ahead and ordered my dress. I wanted the Vera Wang dress that Kate Hudson wears in Bride Wars, but couldn't afford a dress like that in reality, but on Lightinthe box i could. Look up - Kate Huds - and you will find it. It takes a little longer for this dress, bout 5 1/2 weeks or so, then the volcano hit so i had to wait a couple of extra days while it got stuck in shipping. But it came and was beautiful. Perfect fit again, the beading on the bodice is very delicate and beautifully sewna dn the fabric lovely.

They do come in very small boxes to keep transport costs down and the label doesn't always exactly reflect whats in the box - another way of keeping costs down on shipping/taxes (!). Theres no way i could be having such a beautiful dress for my wedding if it wasn't for this site. I really am very pleased with the service i had and i already know another bride who is ordering from them right now after seeing mine.

Hope you get sorted one way or another - good luck! x

As GB said I got my bridesmaid dresses from there, I thought that they came and looked alot better than what they did in the pics, for what i paid i was absolutely thrilled, lots of people said they look really expensive when i think they worked out at about £47 each. I purchased 4, and they were all exactly the same, i would deffo reccomend them

No, because it's an advertiser bouncing a 3 month old thread...

Oh, sorry. I mean it's a helpful b2b who just so happened to be searching through old posts and only found one that she could helpfully contribute to...

    Hi

Yes, i've only got a couple though from when it first arrived and i got it out of the tiny box. If you post an email to me i will email them over to you. Smiley smile Hopefully they might help you decide on whether to go ahead and use the site. Like i said, no problems at all with using them for me!

I'm really please with the dress. It was on for £179 approx, then custom charge for fitting, then big postal charge, came to about £248 on the site and a later customs tax from Fed ex after delivery of about £25. Definately worth it. x

I got my bridesmaid a deep purple taffeta 50's style bridesmaid dress, so she would be able to wear it again, and thinking of potential heat (!) in july and with the p&p it was £89, but that was marked as a gift by LITB on the outside lable, so far no request for customes charges from DHL...

They've changed the picture since i ordered it but here it is in red, looking much more casual than it really does because of the model's styling.

I had it custom fit too.

Also, im not quite sure how this works but i have a couple of pictures of my dress from them saved on here so if someone contacts me to tell me what to do i could post them. Smiley smile

Hi ladies, I am still pondering over the dresses from LINB. My bridesmaid is a size 16 (uk), we measured her and according to their sizing she is a size 20!!!! HELP. I cant afford to have them custom made so do i order a 16 or follow the measurements and get at a 20!!!!!

    Any advice welcome.

    Vx
