Limited print run - Letterpress invitations - stationery HIBS

Storky, 15 February, 2011 at 11:19 Posted on Planning 0 10

Hiya,

Any of you know a company willing do a small run of letterpress invitations without breaking the bank? We'd need maybe 16 of them for a thank you meal.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

    Hi CB,

the main problem with letterpress is that each individual design has to be set with plates - which is why it is so expensive and short print runs even more so.

Having said that, there are companies who already have plates ready set and can work around the problem of individual design. Have a look at www.blushpublishing.co.uk

They do some stunning work and might have something in house that would work for you.

Letterpress is SO gorgeous, have fun hunting!!

    Lovely, thanks for the advice!

I just want something quite luxurious looking and letterpress was my fist thought. Maybe I need to broaden my horizons!

Could easily adapt a wedding invitation for you or design you something more individual?

What about boxed invitations for somethign a bit different? Not necessarily this design, but just to give you an idea!

Shout if I can help at all.

    Hi

Have you considered something embossed or hand inked instead- that way you can have the luxury and individuality without the price tag.

Maybe somthing like this - but obviously saying thank you instead of passport. Let me know if I can help

That's the stuff, Esther. We want it for part of our OoS.

Good idea, em. She did a similar run (though not letterpress) for my hen party invitations. I didn't realise she was a letterpresser too. Clever bird!

I got it from paperchase - it's a nightmare to find though - it took me about a month to track it down. Just send me an e-mail if i can help with anything!!

    Try www.pdacardandcraft.co.uk for kraft paper

    or www.craftcreations.co.uk

Might be worth phoning them if you can't find anything on their website.
