Lipstick help!

MrsShep, 10 August, 2014 at 15:36 Posted on Planning 0 7

Ok girls, my plan is to do my make up myself, but I have problems with lipstick! I find if I try and wear anything on my lips it drives me crazy and I end up licking at it and scrubbing it off. My h2b also hates it when I wear lip stuff. I have quite dry lips but don't even like wearing chapsticks. I want a little bit of colour that won't rub off onto my hubby and I want it to feel as natural as possible. The closest lipsticks I've found so far are natural collection, and Maybelline colour me red, but that is definitely too much colour, and I find it comes off onto things, especially my fella!

Any suggestions on what to try, or techniques to try that'll make it feel natural? Thank you! Smiley smile

Burts Bees do a lovely tinted lipbalm. It doesn't feel too heavy on your lips and smells gorgeous and just has a slight hint of colour. http://www.boots.com/en/Burts-Bees-Hibiscus-Tinted-Lip-Balm-4-25g_1213784/ I got it in a gift set and I love it.

What about Revlon lip butters? They are moisturising and give subtle colour. I'm not a big fan of lipstick but I really like them, I have several in different shades.

    Hi

May i maybe suggest a lip pencil. You can colour in your whole lip and the colour will pretty much stay there all day. The only thing is you won't have a gloss. But at least it won't irritate you or your partner. :-)

Thanks for the advice so far ladies! I've tried lip liners but find it just highlights my dry lips. And the problem with the balms is my OH hates the feeling! Has anyone tried the colour stay lipsticks, such as:
