We started our venue search in August, after being engaged for 3 years and together for 12 ?
In November we went to see Wilderhope Manor in Shropshire and loved it. It's owned by the National Trust and operates as a Youth Hostel day to day, but offers exclusive use as a wedding venue. We loved the idea of this as we wanted something a bit different, that offered accommodation. As we drove up the long driveway I remember feeling excited and like this might be the one...and that feeling didn't change and we spent over an hour wondering round.
We have now booked a provisional date with the venue and are going back this weekend for another look. As long as everything goes well we will be putting down our deposit and making the date official! I'm so excited, I couldn't wait until the weekend to share some photos....
