London Hotel

Childhood-Sweet<3, 11 April, 2013 at 11:12 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 7

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone could recommend a hotel in London near-ish St Pancreas Station? We don't have copious amounts to spend (would be lovely) but it will be the day after the wedding so would be nice for a little treat!

Thanks

I would imagine there are quite a few. Your best bet would be Booking.com or Google.

Any idea of budget? Kings Cross/St Pancras is well served on tube lines so can be easily accessed from most areas I believe many of the hotels in the kings cross area are the stop over type Travel lodge etc

Laterooms, last minute.com are all worth a look.

Thank you! I am a total country bumpkin and a London novis, so that is really useful! Thanks

Yes sadly London Hotels are generally ££££ as Flora says poor value for moeny particularly if you are looking for something a bit special. You can sometimes bag a great deal especially if you are staying mid week.

Lastminute.com does a mystery Park Lane hotel deal (i.e they don'y tell you the exact hotel until booking confirmed) but being Park Lane (the posh part of London) you can't really go wrong (without a deal the cheapest hotel rooms on Park Lane are usually upwards of £300 per night)

Do you have much planned while in London?

There is the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel which is on the station so you could stagger out of your bed in the morning for the Eurostar /hotels/travel/lonpr-st-pancras-renaissance-hotel-london/

Don't know if this would be down your street but there is a nice looking hostel on pentonville road (2 minutes walk to kings cross station), Keystone Hostel. Don't know what it's like inside or whether it does double rooms so would be worth googling. Formula One hotels are budget and I've a feeling that Tune Hotels are too. If you don't mind going a bit further out there are b&b's from outer central london which have good transport links with kings cross.
