London Park Recommendations

Hello Hitchers

I am organising a family picnic in London weekend of the 23rd August.

We want a park to sit in but one with shelter in case the weather turns bad. The idea is to do it on a budget otherwise we'd have gone with Kew or similar.

Can anyone recommend a park which has a free pavillion or similar?

It's also the weekend of the Notting Hill Carnvial which (I think) might rule out Holland Park.

Not central london but Victoria park is nice and has a couple of areas to shelter from the bad weather
