Long shot - renting in surrey/berks

Depends exactly what sort of accomodation you are looking for & budget. Parts of Englefield green aren't too pricey (but fair walk from Station), Chertsey isn't too bad but the area can be a bit dodgy & not sure how accessible to Bracknell. Staines can through up some bargains too. Ashford (middx) might be more in price range. Too be honest, £700 for a 1 bed doesn't sound far off mark for this area.

Try also Addlestone & Byfleet. Or perhaps Lightwater as that close to M3 as well.

Fleet

We used to live there, and still own a house there. All te benefits of farnborough, but much, much nicer. 20 mins to Bracknell, 30 mins to egham, easy train into london.

Thank you for the replies, that's really helpful. 700 just seems a massive jump from what I'm paying at the moment - 300 for a huge victorian flat over 2 floors. plus my salary is only going to be 4K more pa than I'm on now so just seems a bit daunting!

We are letting out our 3-bed house for about 850 pounds a month in Fleet.
