Looking for a good holiday read, is the Notebook any good?

I recently read Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides, and it's up there with my favourite books of all time. Hippopotamus by Stephen Fry is great too.

i have recently finished 'My sisters keeper' which i fab, havent read the notebook, sorry.

I've not read the notebook, sorry, but I did enjoy the time traveler's wife. Also:

Love Letters - Katie Fforde. Chick-lit of the most gentle kind, the perfect start to a holiday. If you have ever read any of hers before you will already know the plot, but I still loved it.

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society - Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. I loved, loved, loved this book. It was fab. Would recommend it to anyone.

The point of Rescue - Sophie Hannah. Not the sort of book I normally read, but my mum recommended it and I really enjoyed it.

Luxury - Jess Ruston. Brilliant book, I really, really enjoyed it, and I'm not just saying that ? Look for it in paper back at the airport (if you are flying)

I love the notebook! I love all of Nicholas Sparks books. I've read them all! I can easily finish one a day on the beach! If you like boy meets girl fall in love, something happens, happily ever after kind of books then you'll love him. x

Honeymoon/diving holiday for hubby, I'm not stupid, I'm under no illusions I will be left on the beach to snooze and read, oh the strain of it all.......?

I read the Notebook for the 1st time last week, never seen the film either. Cried lots, but loved it. Was shorter than I expected, and read it in 2 goes (would've been less than one day on a beach as I was so hooked) so I wouldn't rely on it lasting for long, but would def recommend it.

Ended up buying, the Notebook, Time Travllers wife, My Sisters Keeper and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society.

That should keep me going for a while!!
