Looking for a photographer in Kent

danielle34570, 21 April, 2013 at 13:43 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hi,

We're getting married in Italy and have an amazing photographer lined up but we're having a party on 6th July when we return and I'd really like a photographer there. We don't have the budget to spend a fortune as our photographer for the day is our biggest cost so I'd be happy to just receive a disc with photos.

Does anybody have any recommendations?

Thanks,

Danielle

Dang your Italy photographer lol What's the budgetish? I know a lot of young photographers in Kent if your budget isn't enough for a professional event photographer. If you'd want a newish professional photographer/decent student drop me an email and I can ask my friends.

Yeah if you could ask around that would be great. Haven't set a budget for this yet, it's something that I'd completely overlooked so just as cheap as possible really.

We just want some pictures of everybody enjoying themselves but nothing too forced. I was at a wedding recently and the TOG was going round in the evening and telling us how to stand and to hold up a glass etc, wasn't a fan of that.

Any help would be much appreciated!

How a glass is held can be quite important to the elegance of the shot. Most people naturally hold a glass by the bowl which can look like a fist in a photograph. Crafting the shot can improve it dramatically.

Its not what the photographer asks you to do, its the way its asked that is more important....

I didn't explain that very well, I'm happy to take instruction to get the best photos but this was the evening do and the TOG was making a couple hold their glass up to say cheers which just felt too staged, I just want pictures of our friends enjoying themselves, as themselves rather than in a forced way.

    Anyway, each to their own!
