Looking for a relaxing and active Honeymoon. Any suggestions?

RavinMavin79, 5 June, 2011 at 13:51 Posted on Honeymoons & Getting Married Abroad 0 4

Hi All,

I am getting married in August next year and I am stuck on where to go on Honeymoon. I would like 2 weeks away, (don't mind where, but out of the UK) and to have a part relaxing, part active holiday. I am not good at sitting on a beach or by a pool for a fortnight, as I get bored, although I would like a bit of that. I'd like things to see and do which reflect the destination I'm visiting. I'm not interested in water sports or going on safari (I went 5 years ago).

I know it sounds rather fussy, but I reason that this is going to be my last 'big' holiday for many years and I want it to be brilliant. My fiancee is of the same opinion, which is a good and bad thing all at the same time!

I'm reaching out for your help and ideas!

Thank you!

    Hello RavinMavin79

im like you i cant stay at the beach for days just doing nothing, so what we are doing for our honeymoon is going thailand and for the first week we are travelling around going from bangkok to krabi but doing various activities like going on an elephant ride and seeing many places...then spending the last week in a luxury hut on the beach Smiley smile

have you thought of doing something similar ?????

you can do that type of holiday in most countries

Hope this gives you something so think about

Im getting married 25.08.12 then going early september...when in august are you getting married?

    Amy xx

I also want to do something out of the UK but both relaxing part and adventure part.

What we want to do is drive down to Italy and stop for a week in the Italian Lakes for hikes, boating and site seeing, and then will drive down to the Amalfi coast and stay in a hotel and relax on the beech.

We had 11 nights in Mauritius. Spent days on the beach and by the pool but also walked with lions, did a tiger/cheetah interaction, swam (in the sea) with wild dolphins, did loads of snorkelling, quad biking, ziplining and sightseeing. It was amazing

    Hi RavinMavin79

We love to suggest you as your Honeymoon destination Santorini, Crete or Zakynthos (Zante) in Greece. There are a lot of things to do and you never get bored! Like island hopping and cruising, wine tasting, discovering archeological sites, climbing the volcano, you will have the chance to meet the loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta caretta ) and many more fun things and activities as well.

You may contact us and we'll be happy to assist.

    best regards,

    Erica

A week touring in Sri Lanka, lots to see and do, followed by a week on the beach in the Maldives or somewhere in the middle east
