Depends if this is for wedding or honeymoon? You cannot get married in the Maldives as it is muslim. Cuba you have to have all your documents translated into Spanish and notorised by the Cuban embassy, 1 decree absolute was quoted at £500!!!

I would do lots of research and find what it is you are actually looking for. Beach, action, markets etc. I am sure they are all lovely depending on what you are looking for and which resort/ hotel you stay at. A large 5 star hotel in Barbados may float your boat or an intimate boutique hotel in the mountains in Antigua?

That was my first post, realise now how little detail I put in!

It is for our honeymoon, November 2014, just at the early stages of planning and looking for ideas! Got loads from the forum so far!

We will be going for around 7 days, having a look at the weather in each place at the minute, I have to say that the Maldives is probably top of my list at the minute but they all look so lovely. Looking for a relaxing break after all the wedding planning stress and my ideal honeymoon would be a hotel on the beach with a spa, few nice restaurants and bars and maybe a place or 2 for sightseeing.

Gutted I need to wait so long but can't wait for it already xx

Ive been to a wedding in the Sanals resort in Antigua - It was beautiful, they were so helpful and its soo relaxed. Me and my fiance thought it was so good , were getting married in their new Grenada resort in 2015 ive looked into the wedding packages they do and they have a catalogue online where u can design your own wedding, you sort everything out with travel rep and when you get over there you have meeting with them about the wedding days before hand - they sort everything out and tell you exact paperwork you need and everything.

A friend of mine had their honeymoon in St Lucia and she raved about it. She stayed at Smugglers Cove (I think, I will check with her), and couldn't fault it. She came back sooooo relaxed (and so brown!), and had the most amazing time. She said she'd go back in a heartbeat.
