Unfortunately you can only control how you tone your muscles, not where the fat comes off. Basically our genes dictate where fat accumulates on our bodies, and as you lose fat, it will come of certain areas first. You can lift weights and tone your arms all you like, but if you're predisposed to lose that fat last it won't make very much difference. That being said, lifting weights increases muscle mass so you'll burn more calories and lose more fat, so it's still a good idea.

I suggest you take a front on picture of your face, and every couple weeks take another one. You might be losing weight in your face without realizing it because the change is slow and you look at your face every day!

To concentrate on your arms i would suggest the cross trainer and the rowing machine....they work wonders...however venart is right..it may be a case of toning up what you have!! Measure your inches tho because sometimes its suprising...

Have you ever tried a vibroplate?

I've lost 15lb and I didm't think it was coming off of my face. However, I compared a photo of myself that i had taken yesterday and a photo I had taken in November and the changes are incredible, but I didn't seem them until someone pointed it out to me! Keep working and I'm sure it will turn out great :-)

The weight on your face and your arms will come off as you gradually lose weight overall, but they may be the last pounds to leave your body depending on your genes. What will help is if you do a lot of weight training for your arms because muscles will shape up your body and improve the look of flabby arms.

I have just started another Jillian dvd workout, no more trouble zones, and there are some great exercises on there for toning arms.

My sister put on quite a bit of baby weight and was getting married in the next 11 months she decided to go to weight watchers and it really helped she lost almost 2 stone and looked and felt brilliant, she said it was stressful finding the time along with the planning and her little boy luke but the end results were fantastic, so maybe try finding a local weight watchers meeting.

    xx hope this helped xx

AS you've joined the gym did you see a trainer for them to work out a personal workout for you? If you haven't it would be a good idea as you can tell them what you want to work on and they will show you the best things to do.

Also are you just wanting to tone up or loose weight? If you are losing weight it will come off your face at some point so don't worry
