Lost passport, Update, does anyone in London have a passport form knocking around? X-posted..

Update: Well it's definitely not in the flat, I'm stumped. Have an appt at the passport office at 8.45am in the morning, Have been told it will take 7 days but there's a slimmer than slim chance they might agree to turn it around quicker so I want to get there as early as possible. Only problem now is I need an application form to fill in and get my photo countersigned etc and it's Sunday night.

This is a long shot I know but does anyone here, living in London, have a passport form knocking around. I will travel anywhere to pick it up tonight...

I feel sick.

Does anyone have any experience/knowledge of replacing lost passports? We're supposed to be flying on Weds but I can't find my passport.

We've turned our flat upside down, looked everywhere twice and I'm sure it's just not here.

We've booked an appt at the passport office tomorrow and they've said it'll take 7 days to replace. Does anyone know if it's physically possible to fast-track it?

I feel so awful, my in-laws have paid for us to go out and visit them, my parents are coming too and my Dad's never been so far from home so it's a massive deal for them. Worst case scenario we transfer flights to a week later and I send my parents this week as planned, but this means a week less with the in-laws who we hardly see and who hardly know their only Grandson as it is. I feel more awful than I can say.

Not sure if this'll help, but I know that there's a passport centre in Peterborough, Cambs. Mr S got his passport done there and then while he waited, but had to pay a fair wad to get it done. Would it be possible for you to drop in there too? I know you said you're going to a passport office tomorrow, I just wasn't sure which one.
Might be worthwhile finding out if they can do fast-track? Should be able to?

    Good luck!

I went Saturday morning to Victoria to get a passport replaced for my Son - We travel in 2 weeks.

The only way it's issued on the same day is if you have had a passport prior & are still in reciept of it.

His cost us £91 & I can't collect it until Friday evening & that's the fastest method.

If your appt is before 1pm - you will get it by Friday as we were told they are quiet (as long as form is 100% correct) & you have reported it lost to the police.

Can you change flights to the weekend?

I thought Id lost mine a few years ago literally 2 days before our holiday, from what I remember if its lost they cant fastrack it it will take a week, if it was a replacement (ie youve got the old one) then they can do it fastrack or if it was stolen then they can also speed it up but youd have to have a police crime number
