Lots of silly worries!!!

kezzybabe, 10 February, 2009 at 18:56 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hi all

Havent been on for a while as my wedding has taken a bit of a back seat due to work and family birthdays ect....But now im back planning with a vengance lol!!!

Having bought my dress in november last year and then bought my undies im now worried that theyre going to be no good.I havent tried the whole lot on yet in one go but i bought a bra and having just sneaked a look at the dress am now panicking the back of the dress is going to be too low for a standard bra!!!And i havent seen anything in the shops thats backless apart from them cup things but being slightly larger upp top and 3 kids later i want support!!!!

Heres the link for the dress https://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10001_81649_315460_-1

Havent got any pics of me in dress as H2B is hovering.Any ideas welcome!!!!

Secondly im after a stunning peice of jewellery but the front of the dress is very detailed and id like to make something of the back,a suggestion made by someone on here actually just cant recall who!!!!Any suggestions from the lovely HIBS out there???the more i look around the more confused i get lol!!!

Thanks in advance for any ideas, suggestions or words of advice K x

If you're getting the dress altered, you could ask them to add a 'bra carraige'. It's basically some loops on the inside of the dress that you put the bra straps through so it isn't seen.

There's also strap adjusters available that pull the straps down. Not the most comfortable to wear though!

And with multi-way bras you can get them going criss-cross at the lower back and over your stomach....

im sure someone will make you a 'back jewel' necklace...... sounds lovely..

Thank you for your replies, all very helpfull ive heard of those bra adjuster but i only ever seen the ones that pull the straps across not down but i like the idea of getting something put into the dress to make the bra wearable as i need to get the dress altered as ive lost weight and its slighty too big for me now!!!

Teehee still trying to look at your suggestion as i cant get into the website but im going to look for similar backless bras never thought of that idea,Could always use the other bra as going away undies.

    Hi Kerrie,

I can't get the Debenhams website to load for some reason so can't see your dress but I am a jewellery hib and I love back drops on necklaces and can certainly help you out. My website is www.lynseysdesigns.co.uk and email ******@**************.**.** if you want to chat about some ideas.

My own wedding dress is very detailed so I understand your concern about your jewellery so hopefully I'll be able to make some suggestions.

Oh just got your dress to load and it's lovely. I wouldn't worry too much about your dress being detailed as it isn't ott so even sparkly jewellery will be fine. I can email you a picture of my dress and jewellery together to show you what mega sparkles looks like.

I'd suggest something with a drop at the front as well to suit the v neckline. This is my best seller and is gorgeous and will work very well with a backdrop. It doesn't need to be made with all Swaorvski crystals as pearls can be incorporated as well.

However this is just one idea and I have heaps more ideas on my website as well as being able to create a bespoke design.

Not sure if they would work with the starps on your dress, but I was in Debenhams the other day and they had basque-type things with deep v-neck and -backs - I assume they are for plunging type dresses if that's any help.

I've been thinking of getting some of these.........

    http://underwearsolutions.co.uk/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=11&zenid=806a1ddc90d6dec10a3d9ea9a6b74660

depends on exactly how big you are though.......but I'm pretty huge and they come in my size, so maybe worth a look.

And there's 10% off at the moment too!
