Lunch

Chicken, 27 March, 2009 at 13:47 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 38

A colleague has just handed me a huge portion of homemade spaghetti bolognese for my lunch (but it has huge, ugly, grey, ugly, dirty, stinking, ugly mushrooms in it. She said she didn't cut them up so they were easy for me to pick out but they've tainted the rest of the food, no? Am I being ungrateful? I will eat and thank her profusely.

What did you have?

    BLT baguette.

Eww, dude, tell the freaker that cooks with slugs that it was lovely, then bin it.

I had a crusty tiger bread roll with ham and salad, then I tripped and landed on a hot cross bun, inhaling it in the process. Bad times.

Someone's just given me huge packet of mini eggs. I opened them to bribe my boss into spending 5 minutes with me and now I'm scoffing them.

    Who wants my lunch?

I've had a peanut butter sandwich and a yoghurt. Now I'm going to have an apple, but actually I want some of the Bohemian Raspberry ice cream that's calling to me from my freezer.

Just try them, you might like them............

I've had two tinned peach halves and now I'm eating two activia yoghurts (activia is my new best friend). I'm eating pre theatre tonight so early and a treat hence the rubbish lunch.

Hole - a ham, lettuce and mayonnaise crusty roll is indeed one of the best yummiest things to eat. I love them. Got to be proper crusty roll though that you have to flatten to eat and good thick ham. <drool>

That's the jobbie, half the fun is squishing it so crumbs spray everywhere! Especially when you pick them out of your bra an hour later, always good to get an unexpected snack.

I loof mushrooms, one of my favourite foods, you have to be a tad odd not to like them. Just stop cooking them sto shit! They shouldn't be anything like slugs.

Mushrooms are evil and only sent here to lull you all into a false sense of security whilst they plan their attack. One day they will rise up on your plates, like the evil slug aliens they are, and swallow you whole.

I will never eat a mushroom. I know not ,and have no desire to find out, what they taste of.

Just you and me left Hole since wonkle defected.

I'm not sure really - I've had lasgane and thai green curry in the last couple of weeks. There's talks of a lunch club but, whilst I'm happy to eat (mushroom free stuff) I'm never going to be bothered to cook and transport!

I am now on the side of mushrooms. After years of hating them,I now like them. I have been ostracised by Chicken and Hole because of this. They fear the 'shroom.

<tries to think of "fun guy" gag to add in here>

I'm suprised there isn't one in Belfast (and even more suprised that there isn't a Waitrose. Waitrose was the supermarket in Port Stanley in the Falklands. How bizarre that they have one there and not Belfast ).

I won't mention that H and I are meeting friends tomorrow for another Wagamama 2 for 1 deal then. ?

Its OK, I had my fill last week in London. There is one in Dublin, so surely its only a matter of time.....

The Waitrose things is oh so very very upsetting. There has been talk forever of a ohn Lewis opening, can't happen fast enough if you ask me, because then (hopefully) a couple of Waitroses (Waitrii?) will open.

I love love love Wagamama. Its one of the few decents chains. It and Gourmet Burger.

Did you give your colleague some mini eggs to apologise for being ungrateful about her delicious spag bol? I bet it was probably the best tasting spag bol ever!

I've just picked at rubbish despite supposedly being on my pre-night out diet - farks sake [bangs head against wall]

I had a whole pack of thorntons fruit and nut toffee to myself [fatty icon], a few cheddars, a piece of bread with brown sauce, some of the kids sweeties and a couple of their salmon fish fingers. I'm going to have to starve for the rest of the day. I'd love a crusty baguette right now or even steak and chips from the pub but MrSun is being good and I shall have to go along with it.
