If I venture to the pub on my lunchbreak I will always have a glass of vino. I've ended up p1ssed back at the office on more than one occasion though.

I think I would nod off at my desk if I had a drink at lunch time. I can only do it if it's a lunch into evening session and I can carry on drinking.

Normally a Friday lunch is pub lunch with a large glass of vino!

When expense accounts used to be more generous we used to take clients out for lunch, sink a bottle or two of red wine and then go back to work at 4.30 to turn off our computers.

I'd be sick in my handbag or something equally as vile if I tried to do that now.

    Exactly this.

Worryingly, a bottle of wine is now cheaper than two glasses at our local pub.

I don't do it during the week because I'd fall asleep at my desk in the afternoon. I'll quite often have a glass or two with lunch on the weekend.

    Always on a Friday.

Occasionally on other days of the week too but not too often.

It does slow my productivity a bit but I'm getting used to it!

Very occasionally, usually for a leaving do, or a birthday, or Christmas, or somebody's engagement, or a wedding, or it's holiday time. That doesn't actually sound too occasional, but it is! More than one glass of wine though, and I'm asleep at my desk. I have been drunk in the office once or twice in my 12 years of working, but it's always been carefully planned for days I'm not needed to be of any use on the afternoon.

I do, when I go out for lunch with friends. BUT, only if I don't have my small people tagging along.

And I was drinking at 2pm the other Saturday as my Dad took me to the pub for a father daughter bonding session. Fab!

I only ask as in my industry its rife, every day is not out of the ordinary and I am in the minority that do not booze every lunch.

I'm just back from a good 5 pints at lunch and am feeling it in preperation for more tonight.....

I'll be asleep on that train tonight and it'll be an expensive cab ride home again !

It is one of my favourite places, the City. Glad I don't work there all the time, but most of my friends do, and I love joining them for bevvies on a Friday eve.

    ?

I don't have anyone to go out with at lunch at my current firm ☹️

Even when I did at my previous firm, we never used to drink. Did at job before that, which was in the city. We used to send somebody out at 4pm on a Friday to get wine and nibbles. I was often tipsy by the time I left the office, but would have sobered on the train journey home. The office was young and hip though. I miss those days!

I won't soon Bazza. The only person I want to spend time with is leaving.
