Are you any good with a sewing machine? I found instructions online somewhere (think I just googled) and made one - it's not that difficult (if you can sew in a straight line - some of mine were a bit wobbly but it was for a very wide window, and it's a blackout blind so it's not as if you see it really).

I agree - have a go at making your own; you can pick up the fabric and lining and I have masses of cord and the stuff you thread the dowling into

I used an online company - I think it may have been web-blinds.co.uk. I seem to recall I looked at the top ones that google threw up and decided on basis of price and what materials were available.

Anyway, they were good, I still love the blinds, and they were exceptionally reasonable (I think about 1/3rd of the price of JL or Laura Ashley).

I think loml got his from Hillary's. They dicked him around on the delivery so he got a hefty discount too.

Alas, will not be making them myself given that I can't even sew on a button properly!!! I was the only person in my Brownie pack to fail my sewing badge, they gave it to me anyway as they felt sorry for me!

We've had a few from web blinds and they have alwasy been very good

make sure you follow their instructions on how to measure and theire blinds are always spot on to your measurements and delivered pretty quickly and often have discounts as well
