*PrincessMeMa*, 2 January, 2013 at 18:08 Posted on Planning 0 2

Has anyone worn or wearing this dress? Ideally in ivory with veil?

I want to get a veil, but don't know what colour, and bridal shop are being cagey about it, and want £140 for the one I like.

The dress is ivory, but a very pale ivory... More like white!

If anyone has this dress and veil, please could you let me know the colour you chose x

Everyones perspective of white, cream, ivory, diamond white is different to another. I found that even within the same brand, one colour ivory can be very different to their other dress is ivory. The Maggie website says that dress comes in ivory & white.

I dont know the colour of that particular ivory, but have you thought of getting tulle samples from margaret? Could you then take them with you when you try the dress on (even in a different shop) & secretly check which colour matches the best?

Veils in wedding shops are very expensive. I got mine from margaret for £32. The colour was perfect, the style suited & I was so pleased I didnt spend £200 in the bridal shop. (there is another post currently on here about her veils).

Veils are very sheer so if the dress is Ivory it wont matter what type of ivory it is, however, a white veil with an ivory dress does look odd. If you are placing an order for the dress then the copy of your order sheet should state the colour of the dress you are buying, then you can choose your veil.

I sell veils in my shop and they range from £45 - £275 but that depends on length and sparkly/lace detail etc

I've actually got my dress already... its Ivory. I have a sample of the material too, as the dress is bagged and hung up at my mums waiting for alterations later in the year

I think I will contact Margaret, I've heard good things about her

Thank you for helping.. hopefully someone with the dress I've bought will come along shortly x
