U could go to make-up counters for a 'makeover' and buy a few of the products they use on you.

IE. the nice foundation, blusher, eyeshadow.........but you could get cheaper mascara and lipgloss etc.

Oh gosh, I think this is going to just be personal preference. Have you considered just popping along to Boots or Debenhams and asking one of the girls on the Makeup counter to do a trial on you? They are normally good and you will then get a good idea of what suits you. If you tell them you are getting married they are usually very helpful at trying different things, The lady I went to wrote everything down for me and everything.

Well I will tell you what I wear I use Bare Essential Minerals which may well be fab for you if you don't ware makeup often as its really light but great coverage.. It is so easy to apply too there's none of the jaw line foundation marks or anything.. i cannot rate it enough and i've tried a lot of brands.

    Face: foundation, Bronzer, consealer, Blusher,

Eye's: basic's really - Eyeshadow, Liner and Mascara, I also use a eye illuminator under my eye brow (fab!) Eye liner if you like it

Lips: Generally speaking lip gloss only.

I think it REALLY depends on the person, do you need to cover blemishs or discolourations? How is your day to day makeup normally, its these types of things you have to take into consideration.

i will be wearing Concealer, foundation, face powder, bronzer, eyeshadow, blusher, eyeliner - liquid and pencil and mascara.

My skin tone is really uneven i NEVER leave the house without makeup, sadly. Where as sooo many people don't really need much...

I agree to visit a counter to experiement but think about the type of look you want to go for, if you don't wear makeup often I would suggest a VERY light coverage...

Definitely have some makeovers at makeup counters. beware foundation looks different in different lights, so maybe ask them to apply a shade u like and then go away and look at it outdoors and at home before buying. i find MAC and Bobbi Brown have the most options in terms of skin tones.

good list from watsonnicole - but i would say no need for a blusher AND bronzer? pick whether you want a more glowy gold look or a softer pinky look. i prefer bronzer as it makes me look tanned n healthy - i also use a highlighter i got from MAC on my upper cheekbone - sooooo good - makes me look all glowy. also eye illuminator is a great tip.

also would try using a primer after your moisturiser, usually helps the makeup stay on for longer.

i suggest experimenting a lot. try blending different types of eyeshadows (maybe buy a couple of palettes with different tones) to see what works best. eyeliner - i would say liquid (or gel if you can use it) has the longest staying power. good luck!xx
