    Hi

I'm relying on a professional for my make-up! I don't really wear it and didn't know what was best to do. I found a wonderful lady who is so down to earth and friendly and does amazing job! I had my trial just before Xmas and felt so beautiful - even without wearing my dress etc! Think it's almost the best value for money I'll be getting for the wedding.

I went down the DIY route as I wanted to look natural, and "me". I did treat myself to a few new bits for it. I think it all came together nicely on the day.

I'm lucky as my friend is a hair and MUA so she will be sorting me out, although I know full well she will want to really play with me, so I may have to keep her reined in a bit lol. My daughter is a nail artist and my neice is a trainee MUA and beautician, so she will be providing any necessary spray tans (no tango look, just flawless hopefully). Saving myself a small fortune I reckon! :o) xx

I'm getting a make up artist. Found her through recommendation from a previous bride (mums work friend) and after our trials, I'm really impressed. Only paying £45 for me - includes trial, travel on day, and she also travelled to mine for the trial which I was surprised about! Also £15 for MOH and again £15 for trial. And same £15 for Mum, and again £15 for trial. She's lending us the make up we use on the day too incase we need to reapply any areas - but from my trial, which I had at 9am - I was still struggling to get some of it off at bed time! I think it was just the lippy that may need it. She's also said that if she has time, she'll happily pop a bit onto my little bridesmaids (8,9 and 11yrs) for free.

Oh I will also say, I've always liked the idea of makeup artist, as its a bit more 'pamper' time really - its time to relax, and actually feel special that you've got someone to do it for. Its not everyday/night you get someone to come along and do it! And its a nice treat for my MOH as well - which at that price, I couldn't moan about treating her!

Plus I'm awful with makeup and I don't think I'd want the stress of having to do it and having the actual responsibility of doing it too!

I'm in two minds about what I want todo with mine! I usually wear quite a bit of a make up normally anyway but I use bare minerals so you still get a nice flawless finish and not the 'caked on' look ( would strongly recommend to anyone!) so I'm happy to do my base but I always tend to muck up my eyes when I do them as I don't always have the patience and I don't want to get stressed on my wedding day and my eyes to go wrong and me just want to strip all my make up off and start again! So I'm really in two minds about this...but me and my MOH are thinking about going to a few of the nice make up counters in boots (Dior,Chanel, Clinique e.t.c) and having a few testers to see what types of nice eyeshadows e.t.c they use he how they do it nicely so that we can then just buy the make up to do ourselves but it will still be decent and look good but without the price tag of paying someone to do it, so in the long run working out cheaper! Just a suggestion xxx

I've booked my make up with MAC. I'm going to the department store in the morning. It's costing £30. They will make up my face and then I get £30 worth of MAC make up to take away with me. I'm happy with that. Never done it before so I'm looking forward to it.
