It seems about right. I've just booked someone today and her prices are the same. I get a discount on the BMs though as there is 3 of them, and they are not going to have a trial either. This was one of the cheapest I found.

Ouch!, I must have got a bargain with mine. £40 including the trial and £10 per b/maid/mother etc. Have a scout about, I'm sure you can find somebody cheaper.

I think that is outrageous! I've been getting quoted £40 for trial and £40 for on the day. Slighty less for bm's and mob etc.

I think that is really expensive. My hair on the day and trial comes to £38 altogether and my make up on the day and trial comes to £32 altogether. I think you should shop about a bit and i'm sure you will find something cheaper

Sounds quite expensive to me. I charge £50 for the bride and £40 for anyone else having a trial as well as make up on the day. I don't charge any more for coming to you either. Only additional cost would be travel expenses if you lived too far from me.

Have a look at Virgin Vie consultants that are bridal trained in Kent.

I paid £200 for all of ours, that included:

2 hair + 1 makeup trial for me (at salon)

1 hair trial + 1 makeup trial for my mum (at salon)

Bridal hair + makeup, mums hair + makeup and 4 BMs hair and makeup on the day.

Hair and foundation was all done at the salon, then she came with us to the venue (she actually drove two of my BMs there to save my dad making two trips) to finish all the makeup off and help me with my veil etc.

I think it was a bargain! More than happy to recommend her to you if you wish, her salon is near Bromley if that's any good to you?

    Hiya,

I like in Kent too (dartford) and have been quoted £40 for trial and £40 on the day then £20 per BM on the day. That is from Virgin Vie - my cousin used & recommended them.

I thought that was very reasonable - yours does seem a little steep.

    HI

I'm paying £55 which includes make up AND hair so a bargain. The trial is free but only because I bought my dress in her shop.

Bridesmaid and mother are both £45 for make up and hair too.

I too had a Virgin Vie consultant extra trained in bridal make-up and she was excellent - I found her at a local wedding fayre.

£40 for me on the day plus £20 trial and £25 for others e.g. Mums or BMs.

Perhaps approach a local college to see if one of the beauty students can do it for their portfolio.

You can also go to their website and find a local consultant through the book a party link (you don't have to book a party to contact her though but it is a good way to find out what her work is like) - www.virginvieathome.com or through my site - www.myvirginvieathome.co.uk/sharonspink
