Make Up Tips & Tricks Thread......

BrogstarBride, 20 February, 2013 at 20:18 Posted on Planning 0 3

I'm not sure if there is a thread already for this but I'm quite interested what tips and advice people have about make up for their wedding day Smiley smile

so feel free to post your ideas from covering up angry spots, putting on falsies, keeping the shine at bay or any other tips you have picked up about make up brands etc!

    Hi Brogstar,

I'd say Youtube tutorials and lots of experimenting and practise will come in handy for your make up!

We also have loads of beauty articles here - https://www.hitched.co.uk/wedding-planning/beauty/

And our homepage right now is the bridal beauty special! Have a browse for some ideas.

A good primer for foundation and eye shadow is worth it's weight in gold. And decent make up brushes because the last thing you want is the moulted hairs of your blusher brush implanting themselves in your chin- beard for the wedding anyone? And finally apply foundation with a clean foundation brush- you will use less and get a more even coverage and finish. Start at the nose and work out, up and down from there.

Go a tiny bit heavier than you would expect, anything in person shows up less with camera flash, so a lightly made up face really won't necessarily show up on photos. To test it, take snaps of yourself from your trials.
