Make up trial - FLASH!

Had my make up trial done a few weeks ago with Roz from Bellisima hair and nails in Hoddesdon. She's just sent me the piccies of it.

I rarely wear any make up - just a touch of light foundation and some mascara/eye shadow if I'm having an evening out and generally I'm rubbish so i definitley wanted a pro to do my make up for the day so i didn't have to worry about it.

Roz was great, really down to earth and friendly and obviously professional. She tried a few different things, starting off on one eye then trying something different on the other eye.

These are shots of me with my final choice of makeup - look especially at my left eye (to the right on the pics) as that was the eye that I decided I wanted to keep (LOL) the other had some darker grey eyeshadow which didn't suit much so she's taken it off before the pic. The outside shot shows the makeup colours better but as I'm quite a bit taller than Roz and squinting a bit it's not as easy to see as the indoor shot.

Your right, The darker eye is nicer. Really makes your eye look big and shows off the blue more. I think you look lovely! You don't look overdone which would look silly if you don't normally wear make up x

Very nice - it really suits you. And, if it's not rude to say, for a redhead, you've got a really great skin colour and tone*

*Actually, your skin looks good anyway, regardless of hair colour.

Thanks I definitely didn't want to look completely unlike me - so what she's done is really nice. I was especially worried about the foundation as I was imagining being caked and feeling fake and also with my skin it's really hard to find a colour light enough, but Roz was great and although I'm obviously wearing foundation etc it didn't feel caked at all.

I think a bad experience with a "make over" at a make up counter in a department store scarred me for life....LOL!

PS. Ignore the dodgy hair - that's not how it'll be for the wedding (I hope!). I'm going to straighten it properly for that - this was just me hastily trying to make it less wild before the trial!!
