    Hi Charlotte :0)

It's great your trial went well but did you only notice the shining later? Your MUA should be able to sort it for you, either by using a light powder to matte it down or they may even have another suitable foundation. Id ask them really xx

    Hi Smiley smile

Thank you for your reply. It doesnt look shiny to look at but does in photos. My mums friend is a beautician & is doing it for me, wish i could afford a proper make up artist but I dont wear mame up really so she still does a better job than me.

I only have one month to go & panicking now.

I'd recommend Bare Minerals, it looks really natural and is long lasting, plus its good for sensitive skin as it lets your skin breathe, and I get less spots than I used to!

Some foundations contain light reflecting particles or titanium dioxide which reflects flash - unfortunately using a powder won't fix this. I have a feeling foundations with SPF can also do this.

There used to be a few make up artist HIBs who gave advice on here but I haven't seen them for a while. This is a thread from a while back which might help https://www.hitched.co.uk/chat/forums/p/291807/2747569.aspx

    Hi

thank you for your replies Smiley smile

I love bare minerals and used this for my pre wedding shoot which looked good but it was a dull day and it doesnt seem to last all day on my skin.

Thank you for that thread Smiley smile Which I had thought about this sooner tbh so trying to sort something quick

Earlier poster is exactly right, it is likely to be the SPF causing the light to bounce off your face. My MUA has told me I must buy a foundation without SPF for this exact reason. When you look for one without SPF you will be amazed how many foundations contain one. I will be buying the Armani foundation nearer the wedding.
