Makeup - High Wycombe

cooticus, 1 November, 2011 at 15:41 Posted on Planning 0 10

I'm getting married in Jan 2012 and have recently moved area to High Wycombe, Bucks. I have no idea where to even start looking for someone to do my makeup, i don't even know anyone really locally that i can ask.

Can anyone recommend someone in the area?

Thanks

There's a fantastic seamstress and beautician called Ivana Kuranova who lives in Little Chalfont - her number is ****. Hope that helps!

Oooo someone from High Wycombe ?

We are getting married in West Wycombe (on top of the hill) and having our reception at Lillibrooke Manor near maidenhead. How about you?

Oh thats such a lovely church, we looked at there and Nigel Lacey is wonderful, is he holding your ceremony? And Lillibrooke Manor I love, its just round the corner from where my uncle lives and again we looked around there but unfortunately it was a little out of our price range and a bit too far for our guests to travel.

We are getting married in Great Hampden church near Great Missenden and the reception is The Kings Hotel in Stokenchurch. We are getting married 28th April 2012, how about you?

Yes Nigel is holding our ceremony, he has been lovely about it especially at it was a bit short notice, we booked at the end of september and are getting married on the 21st January.

I quite liked the look of The Kings Hotel but OH was more keen on the barn idea.

Thame is just up a little bit isn't it? Still getting my bearings as only moved to Wycombe in August!

Yea, it's not far. Just the next junction on the m40.

I have known a few people get married at the kings hotel and ward good things.

If you are wanting a barn type venue then check out Notley Tythe Barn in Long Crendon. My sister got married there earlier this year and was lovely. It was also good value for money.

I can give other local barn suggestions but they work out much more money

Yes, Notley Tythe Barn is lovely, and the staff are efficient and enthusiastic. I played there in September, one of the most gorgeous of the many weddings I've been to this year.
