What I've done before is use the "envelopes and labels" function and set up a custom template. Eg I did it for my RSVP's so that I had 4 boxes on a sheet of A4 paper.

You can download templates from the Avery site. It doesnt' matter that you're not printing on labels or envelopes just use the sizes they have there.

Have a look at this link there might be a suitable template there

What you can do rather than formatting the word document is just do it on a4, then when printing select the option to print 2 on a page. It will then print 2 pages alongside each other on the paper both 15 sized. hope this helps. if you printer does not have this option (most does) then formatting the doc should be quite easy once you know how. Can't help you with that tho.

You NEED publisher, it makes invitation making so much easier. You can print all sorts of sizes and things so it makes your life much easier.

You should be able to pick up a copy reasonably cheap I bought an old version for about £6.

The fonts is easy, you need to download the font from one of the many font sites the transfer the files into fonts which is in the control panel. I've now got a short cut to it on my desk top. Transfer both files that have downloaded and it should be there in word when you look.

The pixelated thing is harder you just need to find a better quality version of the image you want to use or find another image, there is no easy fix on that one.

The image will be pixelating because it is too small, where did you find it? Can you download it in a higher resolution?

If you download fonts from a site such as Dafont, save it somewhere, then go to the fonts folder on your PC and select install new font. Locate and upload, then it should appear in programs such as Word etc.

I laid out all my invitation parts in Powerpoint. Was much easier than Word.

I created everything in Publisher but you can do it in Word. The only problem with word is it's much more restrictive with where you can put images etc. So it depends how fancy you're having the invites.

With regards to fitting two on a page, can't you just draw a faint outline box the size you need then print as many as you can get to a page then trim down?

For people wanting fonts, this is really good site: http://simplythebest.net/fonts/

As Mrs C says regarding the image, if it's pixelating when you make it bigger then it's because the image is poor quality.

As that is someone else's design and isn't freeshare they won't have made a high res version accessible, which is understandable really.

You could try searching google images for 'scroll designs' then recolouring them in Publisher but if you're not particularly design minded I would suggest paying a stationery designer to do it for you I'm afraid.

    Hi

Are you actually trying to use that exact image on your invites? That is certainly not going to work and I'm sure the designer may frown upon this also.

I think you need to look elsewhere and find somewhere that sells the image you are looking for to get a higher resolution image.

If you do need any help, please do let me know.

If you really get no idea , you could find a professional wedding planner.

That is someone else's design which is why it is not high resolution and as Inspire said, I am sure the designer wouldn't be too happy with you taking his/her designs. You need to find one that is licensed for use that you can download rather than copy.

I purchased my graphics from Fotolia, I think it cost me about £10 but I wanted a high resolution so that I could make it big enough for table plans etc.

You can also try other stock image sites such as iStockphoto. There is a free one which I have used before but you have to register - it is called the Stock Exchange http://www.sxc.hu/ and certain uploaders will allow their photos/graphics to be used for personal use.

When you are downloading the font, save it on your C drive (I save mine in the Downloads folder), you then need to go into Control Panel and Fonts and select Install New Font, you will need to find the folder on your C drive where it is saved.

You need to then go into your fonts folder, right click on the font, select properties and there should be a tick box in there to "unblock". You need to check this and click apply.
