making my own table plan...what order do people's names go?!

Wherts2b, 2 May, 2012 at 12:03 Posted on Planning 0 2

As above! For example on the top table do I put names left to right in order they will sit or start with bride & groom?

And really don't know how to order others! Thanks ?

Hi, I think you can have them in any order you like

Usually the Top table will go something like this

Best Man, Bridesmaid, Father of the Groom, Mother of the Bride, Groom, Bride, Mother of the Groom, Father of the Bride, Bridesmaid, usher

Well, I think that is how mine was, I may have the FOG/MOB/MOG/FOB the wrong way round but generally it's something like that

As for the other tables, you can sit people where you like, we went for a mix between my family and OH's family on each table, you would just need to make sure you didn't split up "family groups" and also that someone didn't really hate someone else so you would avoid sitting them with that person

From what I have seen the traditional order for the top table is:

    From Left tp right:

Best Man, Groom mother; Bride Father; Bride; Groom; Bride Mother; Groom Father; Chief Bridemaid
