We went to Kuramathi for 7 nights (after 7 nights touring Sri Lanka) and could have easily stayed there for 14!!! We stayed in the standard beach villa which was amazing.

There is plenty to do if you want it, bars, restaurants, scuba diving, snorkelling, spa, swimming pools...

This was my honeymoon report to give you an idea!

We went in feb to Veligandu 5* resort only 70 huts it was total paradise. You could walk the whole island in 10mins!

stunning! and want to go back. Our jacuzzi water villa was up the jetty on the left and turn left 2nd one

    Hello Mrs C

We have exactly the same honeymoon booked. One week touring Sri Lanka then onto Kuramathi for a week.

We are slightly worried about going in July but figure this is the only chance we will ever get to go so worth the risk!

    xx

This for me too! Except I'm doing 10 nights on Kuramathi in the water villa with jacuzzi and 3 nights in Dubai. We're also a bit worried about the weather in June but hoping it's like in the Caribbean and it lashes it down for an hour then stops.

Mrs C - fantastic honeymoon report - can't wait to go to Kuramathi after reading it!

    Hi Elizabeth,

We've not booked it yet as we are still trying to find the right price but after making a list of all the resorts you can pick from and doing A LOT os trip advisor research we finally picked Meeru. Have a little look and see what you think. There is a forum dedicated to it www.meeru.co.uk and it has loads of reports and honeymoon photos on there and you can ask any questions you may have. There are people who have been going for years. It's the most reasonable price we have found if you want luxury but can'ty afford extortionate prices (of you can, go for One and Only resorts which are by far the most luxurious) Meerus has the luxury without the MASSIVE 5 figure price tag. Just to give you an example on prices, we are going for 14 nights and staying in a Jacuzzi Water villa (the second most luxurious under the private honeymoon suite) and it's costing us around £6k for us both. There are about 4 lower standards of room depending on what you want and how much you have to spend. We are going January 2013.

    Hope this helps

    Jess xx

We've just got back from Meeru and it was totally amazing. I recommend this island to everyone and anyone.

I can't recommend the Maldives highly enough..it's paradise! we have been to many of these tiny islands and would certainly recommend the Meeru resort as it has a lot to offer in terms of facilities.
