The Maldives are a group of small 'paradise islands' so private pools are not very common (many of the hotels/islands do not even have communal pools)and those that do have private pools tend to be pretty small (think hot tub size) simply because there is not the space unless its very very high end with price tag to match such as the Hilton https://www3.hilton.com/en/hotels/maldives/hilton-maldives-iru-fushi-resort-and-spa-MLEIRHI/index.html

The Maldives have the most beautiful white sand beaches and crystal clear blue water so from my experience i certainly did not miss not having a pool (and i usually prefer to have a pool).

I've been to the Maldives, I've never heard of private pools in the Maldives but I think you could end up having it to urself if u do go as the sea is so beautiful most people will be there!!

I stayed at diamond arthuruga in maldives. No private pool but AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING

My sister stayed in the Taj Exotica and they had an infinity pool outside on there deck and it looked AMAZING!!

Most of the 5* / 5*+ hotels have rooms with a private pool. I think the following all have private pools: W Retreat, Constance Halaveli, Beach House at Manafaru, Huvafen Fushi, Reethi Rah, Bodu Hithi, Anantara Dhigu, Angsana Velavaru. I´m sure there are plenty more as well.

To be honest, I really can´t understand why you would want a pool in the Maldives. The sea is so perfect it´s like swimming in a bath tub (with tropical fish!). Each to their own though I guess.
