Male members of the bridal party

You don't have to have everyone matching - although of course if your budget stretches to buying them you can do.

Me and the Best Man had grey suits (although different shades), matching waistcoats and ties, I had an ivory shirt and a slightly more elaborate buttonhole.

The Father of the Bride had a grey suit to match us but we also gave him a waistcoat (partly as I'd ordered the wrong size and it fitted him...)

The two ushers had different coloured suits but we provided them with ties to match.

Personally I don't like the "everything matching 100%" look but each to their own.

Oh yes, thats true. I will ask the steamstress if the material can be used to make a tie instead

I think if they all had the same colour tie/cravat that would look fine.

My 2 boys and my friends lad were our ushers and they didn't match, , Try telling 3 teenagers that they can't choose their own clothes, , ,?

I would say totally up to you! We're having a small wedding, so the men in our party are just my OH, his best man, 1 usher (possibly 2 - or 3! - as we will ask my brother and my BIL but brother is likely to say no as he's grumpy, and BIL will be supervising 2 young sons!) and my dad.

My dad has ALWAYS wanted a white tux and he has asked if he can wear one - I say why not, it's our parents' day too! My OH wants to buy a new suit, something he can wear again, so it won't be tails or anything. The usher/s will be asked to wear their own suits and we'll provide them with ties. My OH will wear a wasitcoat and cravat; his brother (best man) will wear his own suit, assuming it looks ok next to OH, and then either a tie, or a waistcoat and cravat to match OH - again depends on the cut and colours of the suits.

I don't think it matters if they don't 'match' as long as they don't clash!
