Hi Mrs2013 I am a Manchester bride too! We are getting married on 14th September this year at Clough Manor in Saddleworth. We absolutely fell in love with The Monastery but decided we didn't have enough people to fill it properly but if you're having a big wedding definitely worth a look there too! Smiley smile xx

Its called Bolton school, i know of a few other hitchers getting married there too. It is just of the, m61 just outside the centre of Bolton. My family are all from longsight which is 13 miles away so not that far. Have a look at the website BSS events as they have a special offer on all weddings booked from july £3000 For 3 course wedding breakfast including welcome drink, glass of wine with the meal and a glass of sparkling wine for the toast for 60 people and an evening buffet for 100. For each additional day guest it is £35 per head which includes eveing buffet.

I went to a Wedding at Gorton Monestrym and also Rivington Barn near Bolton is a really nice venue and can acommodate a either a small or large amount of people, http://www.rivingtonhallbarn.co.uk/weddings/

Yes i was a bridesmaid last April at rivington hall barn and it is beautiful, however i would disagree about holding a small Wedding there as i think it would look very empty with less than 100 people especially in the summer when a lot of people tend to sit outside. Food was really good too and scenery for photos is fab.

its fab! we love it and it came in cheaper than a lot of places Smiley laugh

no not tried on any dresses going to wait until start of 2013 for that, done lots of research and know the style i like but im hoping to lose a stone or 2 so dont want to look too early!

one dress shop at a wedding fayre said theres no harm in looking now but not to tell shops that the dates so far away and make up a different one but i didn't really want to do that incase i found one and wanted to buy now Smiley tongue

It's hard not to want to sort everything now isn't it! Smiley smile x

It is. Ive booked myself onto a few trunk shows for the designers i like. Theres so many beautiful dresses but im the same as you , wanting to lose a bit before trying any on. Plus id proberly change my mind as i have quite a while to wait. Have you heard of anymore wedding fayers in the local areas.

i find this website pretty useful for wedding fayres ...

http://www.weddingclub.co/events ... obviously change the location to suit you Smiley smile

    also this one...

    http://www.allweddingfayres.co.uk/fayres.php?countyid=34

gives you more of an idea of what to expect at them e.g catwalks etc

Two bigger fayres coming up are the tatton park and the heaton house farm ones ... tatton is £10 on the door i think and HHF is £2
