Welcome to Hitched! I'm another Manchester Bride although I'm getting married in Knutsford at The Belle Epoque. Wedding date on 5/10/13. I'm really in the process of getting quotes for everything at the moment, Cakes, Togs, Dj, band, linen etc. Any recommendations of any one you have found particularly helpful? Got my 1st dress app booked for the 1st sept, soo excited!! ?

Hi, I can recommend RSW Photography and John Norcott for a singer/dj (also does balloon modelling for the children). Good luck. x

Agape in Knutsford is a lovely wedding dress shop - the staff are really lovely and helpful and are also really knowledgeable - I think they are all trained seamstresses or something so know, for example, if you could add on straps or things like that.

I have got lots of things sorted already feel very happy at the moment.

I have ordered my dress from Timeless Bride in Poynton, the shop and ladies in it are great. Our cake is going to be from Diva Cakes in Ashton under Line, we have got a venue decorator called Special Day Events who are based in Cheadle Hulme and our photographer is Cat Price Photography, she is a friend of mine, but i love her attitude to photos.

Our theme is Cadbury Purple, but we are finding it really hard to tie everything together...i'm hoping that will just ... work haha.

We just loved it, we only want a small wedding so its great for us. Were 15th June, when are you? x

We really wanted to go there but the only thing was a lack of places for people to stay close by and we have alot of out of town/country relatives. The location is stunning, you will have an amazing time!!
Were on the 22nd June, so so so excited xx

We're local so it's not too bad. They just recommended a place near by though, only opened in may, Magpie cottages in marple, there lovely!x

Ahh they weren't there when we viewed it in January time. How far have you got with your plans?

We've done most of the big things , venue, DJ, campervan!, a friends doing the cake, I'm just waiting for a bridesmaid to give birth before we can go bridesmaid shopping. How about you? X

Hi, im also getting married in sale on the 22nd june!!! We are getting married at the registry office, then going for a small reception at the cresta court in Altrincham. I used to take my little boy to the parent and todler group at st marys! x

Hi another Manchester bride here in fact next week We are getting married in a church in Rusholme and then to a local beer hall as we are aiming for more a "party" as im a very fussy eater we have gone with a jacket spud bar so you can pick your own toppings in the afternoon since we get married at 3pm then chip barms later on at night. We are also getting the keys to our new house next week so have stuck to a very tight budget. ?

We have used a lovely lady from Hulme (near the big Asda)for flowers and have a old double Decker bus to take us all. We have booked Ace Dj for the disco as he did my sisters 18th and made a room full of people all different ages happy. www.acedj.co.uk

Oh and i got my dress just before bride be lovely shut down for the stunning price of £150 for £999 and it had only come in the day before so was brand new.

All your weddings look lovely makes me want to do it all again just without the stress ?

Can I add myself as a Manchester bride? We're getting married at Peruga at Woodheys in Marple on 28/09/13.

Only just seen this thread now it's been bumped. Would be really good to keep it going, would be really useful for suppliers etc.

They are lovely cottages. I think I'm at that stage where I can't do much more. I've got my dress, bridesmaids, hair m make up

Lady, flowers, invites, most decorations just need to put it together, rings and honeymoon!! We're waiting for Xmas sales for grooms suit and a but later incase our flowergirl suddenly grows a lot ha. How about you? X

How is everyone getting on? I think we have done all of the main things now, hoping to get things like bridesmaid shoes etc in the sales. We've just finished making all of our invites, can't believe it's 6 months to go already, no idea where the last year has gone!x
