Well I was pretty made up when I got an Iphone last christmas, This year have seen engraved Ipods, Engraved Cufflinks as well - Have heard of brides giving boudoir photo books but not something I do.

Biggest wedding day gift I have witnessed was a new car presented at the reception - never seen a reaction like it !

Take to to the same place where he proposed you for wedding . this time you do whatever he did . arrange some romantic date at that place.

I know you've asked for a mans' opinion, but I got Mr Tahdah a brand new tool belt...he was over the moon.

I knew he wouldn't appreciate a hip flask, or watch, or ever have the need for special cufflinks, so this was perfect and he uses it everyday which is what a good gift should bring!

A lot of brides by their men driving experiences, a vintage whiskey, personlised monopoly board or something like a signed card from their footy team.

Something that he can keep forever, does not have to be expensive. I would go for a Pen, or a really good charactiture can be good.

You can get him a watch, and get a poem done, to fit in the inside lid of the box.

    Edit:

I came back post this link. The writer has some excellent ideas. http://www.ehow.com/list_6005480_gift-ideas-future-husband.html

The key is to get something that is personalised that he can remember the day by, so engraved items (depending on your budget) such as Ipods or Cufflinks work well or tickets for a night away for you both in a plush hotel might be nice either.

Make him a scrap book of your times together- very personal and, in my opinion a fair bit better than something you just paid for

thats a lovely idea!! I got my OH a kilt pin. He's wearing a kilt on the Big day so can wear it on the day. He's also in a pipe band, so can wear it in the future! Does your OH have any hobbies?

I have attached a link to something I came across on the internet this morning...I think its a really lovely personal idea....but not sure if a man would be grateful, am sure they would!? My man is quite into personal/thoughtful things as this so I think I may order one....And its something you can buy straight away and add to as you go along...

    What do you think?

Gadgets are always a good place to start, but it's also good to think of something he can have on him on the day (and won't distract him!)

Cufflinks are a classic, and engraving them would make them extra special/personal.

Or, perhaps get something that's a surprise for him on the day (eg. Book a magician, I used this guy and he was ace!).

If my missus was to buy me a present for the wedding day, i'd like something like a nice watch, something that would be worth keeping, and not a run of the mill watch.

    Something like a Tag H.

Things like Ipods etc.. in my opinion are a nice present, but wouldnt be something that I would treasure so much, as they are readily available.

This may sound ungrateful, but its not meant that way. What you want is something a little different from the norm, that he could look back at, and remember exactly where its from, and what it means.

Sam, if you happen to read this, I'll take the Ferrari, but for life!

Personally I wouldn't care if I got anything, I'd be getting a wife ... would kinda dwarf any present. I do suggest getting something that will last / be useful though, then he can look at it and remember the day. An engraved watch isn't a bad idea, or maybe a braclet that is engrave (if he is into that kinda thing.) Another idea could be pocket watch. True wouldn't be used in everyday like but it is the kind of thing that could be handed down in the family.

    Hey,

I think some brides go for the romantic approach but most guys want something thats special and/or related to their interests.

My OH is getting one of those boudoir album things. He just would not have appreciated anything else... I want something sparkly, and expensive like maybe a little diamond or something but he just wont want a watch or cufflinks etc etc!

I am normally a litte shy on stuff like that so I know he won't be expecting the album! Smiley smile

Well, you can get him a nice ring or wrist watch, if that comes within your budget. Moreover, he is getting you pretty lady.

He is getting you - what more could he want?

If you do get something, get something timeless, and personal - have a portrait done or similar
