March 2013 Brides?

Im the same date as you we've got venue an registrar booked, chosen my dress and bridesmaids but need to order both, booked photographer, my auntie is cake maker and best mans wife is florist. ive just started maming the save the dates too

We are 23rd March. So far we have booked the church and bells, reception venue, cars, flowers, band, photographer, my dress has been designed on paper and I am in the process of picking BM dresses and jewellery and booking chair bows.

I have also designed on paper my centrepieces but I am *terrible* at drawing so going to get one of my bridesmaids to draw it for me properly!

I am off work just now so it is giving me something to do!

I am March 9th.

I am feeling very organised at the moment, but this is mainly due to me having complete money paranoia and wanteing to get as much payed for as soon as possible.

We have venues booked (reception and ceremony are seperate), wedding dress bought and paid for, deposits on bmaids dresses, tog booked, DJ booked, Stationary book, and I've made the bmaids bouquets.

Also we're going to buy our rings next Sat.

Forgot to say we have also ordered our Save the Date magnets!

Hi ladies! I started a thread for us a couple of months ago but don't think you were all around then so no-one responded. It's so nice to finally have a thread full of month twins!!

I've lost my wedding mojo recently, when we first got engaged I was so organised, got the venue, church, tog and save the dates sorted as well as starting out on researching pretty much everything else but didn't want to book too much else too soon as it seemed so early still. But doesn't seem long till it'll be a year to go now so I need a big kick up my arse!!!

I am 30th March too! Wow popular date! I am so excited.. currently I have ticked off, Tog/Videographer, Venue, registrar, ordered my dress, suits, choc fountain hehe, save the dates and off bridesmaid shopping 28th. Feeling rather disorganised!

Wow! I haven't even confirmed the date yet let alone anything else... I'm hoping the end of March 2013. Has the fact that it's Easter weekend put a crimp in anyone's plans? Do prices go up for instance? Plus, am I right in thinking that the most expensive thing is feeding guests?

Im just a control freak and panic far too much! I have been told by one florist that the price of flowers will go up due to the demand of flowers for churches etc! Ridiculous is my thoughts on the matters.

I see to have cost after cost after cost coming out of my ears and we are getting a lot of help from family I just feel rather snowed under by the thought of it all at the min. H2b is a builder and currently has no work which is making me rather anxious and available funds! We will be fine we always are but still concerns me!

I purely picked east bank hol due to venue being cheaper from oct - march! thought that the end of march may have good weather! xxx

How's everyone getting on? Just had my year to go, feeling so real now... time is going to fly by! Still so much to do though... aaargh!

Hello, I'm getting married 9th March exactly a year today, I cannot wait! We got engaged dec 2010 Xmas day and found I was pregnant 2 days later!

So far we have booked the venue and church and I have my dress))) also have booked the photographer!

Let's hope the next twelve months go by fast!

March 12th for me, a year monday.
Most of you seem massively organised compared to me... ? I have made loads of decisions - I def want/don't want etc, which is great, but all we've actually done in terms of concrete stuff is book the church (which we're not even sure we really want anyway!) and made a guest list!! Oh, and I bought my shoes.... ? hehehe

Admittedly, we're doing a lot of stuff ourselves so no need for meetings with bakers, florists, etc, but a year seems like such a long time...!! And I have to say that I'm really not feeling very wedding-y either

Don't worry about not having done so much stuff, some of us have just been planning a bit longer so had more time. It's perfectly possible to plan a wedding in much less than a year so you've got plenty of time. Take the time to make sure the decisions your making are the right one rather than worrying about getting lots of stuff booked quickly.

Wow, your venues look gorgeous, and love the yellow and blue colours, very spring!

Nothing to show from me I'm afraid, most of my ideas are either in my head, or written down in my project book (that I didn't nab from work honest... lol)
I have a photo of the birthday cake I made for my mum's 50th on my phone, which I'm kinda basing our cake on (just in the right colours!). Will try and see if I can get that onto here

I find moodboards really helpful to start bringing random thoughts and ideas together. Cake is a good place to start though, love a bit of cake nom nom!

Here we go - this is the cake I made my mum (in Autumnal colours as her birthday's November). Basing mine on it, but in pale gold fondant with leaves in different shades of lavendar, lilac etc. Smaller teir on top. But you get the general idea

Planning on one tier being rich chocolate with choc ganache filling, and the other being lemon & poppy seed with lemon & mascarpone filling. If we decide on a 3rd tier, which I'm not sure we need, it'll be a fruit cake to keep the older people happy lol

The seller has half price off everything till tomorrow so thought I'd splash some wedding cash! Glad to see theres lots of others as organised as me. I just had a friend in giving me her wedding invite. She gets married in 8 weeks and was saying stuff likr "I need to get a veil" etc. I'd be having palpatations if I still didn't have one at 8 weeks to go lol x

We're March 28th.

We struggled with it being Easter, as we wanted the Friday, but it's Good Friday and we couldn't get married in the church like we wanted to. Easter Sat and Sun were out too!! Easter made it a right pain in the bum, and we needed it to be that weekend really as I am tied to term time working hours so our honeymoon had to fall over the holidays. So much agro...one stressed bride!!! Hehe. But it shoudl be sorted now. YAY.

Our cake is being made by OH's grandfather (of 93!), cupcake tower for the evening is being made by my dad. Photographer is booked, as he is a family friend and isn't charging us anything!

I am planning my invites now, thinking of making some samples.

Bridesmaid shopping has started, but MOH is best friend and a pain in the backside about what she will/wont wear. Grr. Other BMs are my nieces so will be easy as they're 9 and 3 and I have a good idea of what I want for them.

Ummm, think that's about it so far. I have lots of ideas burning in my head, but haven't got round to booking anything yet! So exciting though. I spend all my free time thinking about it!!! hehehe.

We have the registrar and venue booked, just on the hunt for a good photographer and also about to book our cake. I have one last wedding dress shop to visit before putting the depo down on my dress, just want to see if I can get a better price.

Almost on to the year count down!!!

OOo also brought my shoes, save the dates and have all the bits and bobs I need to make our invites. Also brought 10 Birdcages for our centre pieces. Think thats all for now?!
